A Message of Gratitude as We Mark Liberia's 179th Independence Day Celebration
WE INSIDE, BUT WHO KNOWS ONE DAY ONE DAY
Good morning, my beloved people of Pleebo Sodoken District #2, Maryland County.
Fellow Marylanders, fellow Liberians, and our compatriots across the world,
As we proudly celebrate the 179th Independence Anniversary of the Republic of Liberia, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and warmest greetings to every Liberian at home and abroad.
July 26 is more than a date on our calendar; it is a powerful reminder of our nation's remarkable journey of freedom, resilience, and hope.
It honours the sacrifices of our founding fathers and all those who have worked tirelessly to preserve the peace, democracy, and sovereignty we enjoy today.
As we celebrate this historic occasion, let us renew our commitment to national unity, peaceful coexistence, reconciliation, and selfless service.
Liberia's future depends on our collective determination to rise above division, strengthen our democracy, and create opportunities that will benefit every citizen.
Today, as we commemorate Liberia's 179th Independence Day, my heart is filled with gratitude and appreciation.
I thank God for His grace in allowing us to witness another milestone in the history of our beloved Republic.
Most importantly, I extend my sincere and heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful people of Pleebo Sodoken District #2 for the confidence and trust you placed in me to serve as your Representative in the 55th National Legislature of the Republic of Liberia.
To every revolutionary supporter; our elders, women, youth, students, motorcyclists, business community, MOPP and CRC workers, religious leaders, traditional leaders, healthcare workers, teachers, residents, public and private sector workers, and every comrade who stood with me throughout our long journey toward the liberation of Pleebo Sodoken District #2, I say: Thank you.
You knocked on doors with me.
You stood beside me in the rain, under the scorching sun, through the darkest nights, and during our most difficult moments.
You gave your time, your energy, your prayers, and your unwavering belief when others doubted.
Because of you, we fought with courage, determination, and hope for a better future for our district.
As Helen Keller wisely said: "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
" Eleanor Roosevelt reminded us:
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
And A. Philip Randolph declared: "Freedom is never given; it is won through relentless struggle and commitment."
These timeless words reflect the very journey we have travelled together.
Our Defining Moment
October 10, 2023 will forever remain a defining chapter in the history of Pleebo Sodoken District #2.
On that day, our people demonstrated what true democracy and freedom look like.
We chose our own voice.
We chose our future.
We chose hope over fear, unity over division, and progress over stagnation.
Just as Liberia declared her independence on July 26, 1847, our district experienced its own defining democratic moment on October 10, 2023.
It represented freedom from silence, intimidation, unlawful arrests, assaults, insults, selective treatment, neglect, and division.
It also affirmed our unwavering commitment to freedom of speech, freedom of association, justice, equal opportunity, and every citizen's right to participate in democracy without fear or intimidation.
Both dates remind us that freedom is never a gift. It is earned through courage, sacrifice, resilience, and the determination of brave people.
Our Journey Continues
To every supporter, I say:
Your sweat was not in vain.
Your sacrifices were not wasted.
The progress we have made in just two years and a few months of leadership is a testament to what unity, vision, and collective determination can accomplish.
You are part of a movement that is greater than any individual a movement that will outlive all of us.
Our struggle for sustainable development, quality education, improved healthcare, youth empowerment, economic opportunity, and human dignity continues.
Because of your encouragement, sacrifices, and trust, we have made meaningful progress.
Together, we will continue walking this path toward greater happiness, lasting peace, freedom, and sustainable development throughout Pleebo Sodoken District #2.
As the saying goes:
"A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle."
Keep your flame burning.
Encourage one more person.
Inspire one more young person.
Lift one more family.
Build one more community.

The true spirit of revolutionary service
The work begins with each of us in our homes, our towns, our schools, our communities, and throughout our beloved nation.
From the depths of my heart, I thank you once again for your confidence, your unwavering support, and your enduring commitment to our shared vision.
I am because we are.
The revolution of service continues in Pleebo Sodoken District #2, Maryland County, and across the Republic of Liberia.
May God continue to bless Pleebo Sodoken District #2.
