As a law enforcement officer, I expect criminals to speak ill of me. Their insults are not an indictment of my character, they are evidence that the law is disrupting their comfort.

I was not appointed to earn the approval of criminals. I was appointed to confront them, dismantle their networks, and uphold the law without fear, favor, or apology.

If criminals are pleased with me, then I am not doing my job.

STRENGTHENING COOPERATION WITH THE NETHERLANDS POLICE

Today, we held a fruitful discussion with Mr. Arjan Verhagen, Netherlands Police Liaison Officer for West Africa, as we explored opportunities to further strengthen security cooperation between the Liberia National Police and the Netherlands Police.

Our discussions centered on key areas of mutual interest, including law enforcement cooperation, professional capacity development, information sharing, and the promotion of the rule of law.

I was pleased to be joined by the Director of the Executive Protection Service, Mr. Sam Gaye, during the engagement.

As the Liberia National Police continues to advance its institutional development, partnerships with international law enforcement institutions remain important to strengthening our capabilities and enhancing the delivery of effective policing and public safety.

We remain committed to building practical and sustainable partnerships that contribute to a safer Liberia.

Criminal organizations thrive where fear, silence, and institutional weakness prevail. They will not prevail in Liberia again. The Liberia National Police will not be intimidated, distracted, or deterred from enforcing the law.

Our commitment is not to personalities, political interests, or public applause. It is to the Constitution, the laws of Liberia, and the safety and security of the Liberian people. No individual, network, or organization is above the law, and every case will be pursued based on credible evidence, due process, and lawful authority.

We will continue to identify and disrupt narcotics networks, protect communities, strengthen cooperation with national and international partners, and bring those responsible before the courts. We will remain professional, impartial, and accountable, but we will also remain resolute.

Liberia’s fight against organized crime will not be won through intimidation, speculation, or political noise. It will be won through disciplined investigation, courageous leadership, public cooperation, and the consistent application of the law.

We will not retreat. We will not be distracted. We will continue to work firmly, lawfully, and without fear.
