Today, Hon. Taa Wongbe joined family, friends, and the people of Doe and Zuatown to pay his final respects and lay to rest Pa James Wormeah, Chief Elder of Doe.

It was a solemn and deeply emotional moment as Hon. Taa Wongbe honored the memory of a man he described as a father, an elder, and a blessing throughout his journey.

His presence today reflects the importance of honoring those who have poured into our lives, especially elders who have guided, encouraged, and shaped the generations that follow.

May the soul of Pa James Wormeah rest peacefully, and may God continue to comfort his family, loved ones, and the entire Doe community during this difficult time. 🙏🏾

Yesterday evening, Hon. Taa Wongbe checked in on the District 9 boys ahead of Sunday’s Grand Final. The team is focused, confident, and ready to bring home the victory! 🏆

Later that night in Zuatown, Hon. Wongbe joined citizens of Doe Administrative District to pay his respects at the wake-keeping of the late Pa James Wormeah, a highly respected elder who was like a father to him. His presence demonstrated his deep love, respect, and personal attachment to the late elder and his family.

This morning, he returned to Graie to prepare for the funeral service and continue standing with the bereaved family and community during this difficult time.

The Office of Honorable Taa Z. Wongbe, Representative of Electoral District #9, Nimba County, warmly invites all citizens of District #9 and the general public to the Official Dedication Ceremony of the newly constructed Volay Public School in Volay Town, Doe District.

This modern public school, built through the leadership and commitment of Hon. Taa Z. Wongbe, fulfills one of the major promises in his District Development Plan—to expand access to quality education and create greater opportunities for the children of District #9.

The dedication ceremony will bring together officials of the Ministry of Education, local government leaders, traditional chiefs and elders, educators, students, development partners, and community members as the school is officially handed over to the Government of Liberia for the benefit of present and future generations.

As District 9’s Chief Patron of sports, Hon. Taa Wongbe has made an initial donation of ninety thousand ($90,000) Liberian Dollars, including footballs and sets of jerseys to the District 9 Sports Steering Committee as his initial support to the district’s team.

These donations reflect Hon. Wongbe’s commitment to sports, youth and football development in the district and beyond.

The donations were presented today by a team of office staff led by Mr. Avon Kwarwon, District Coordinator, and received by the Chairman and leadership of the committee.

Hon. Taa Wongbe’s 2025 Year-End District Tour and Community Engagement

Tomorrow, Hon. Taa Wongbe will kick off his 2025 Year-End District Tour, engaging with communities across District 9, from Zekepa to Ganwee, Mehnla, Zuatown, Graie, Zuolay, Kwendin, and Camp 1.

This past year has seen significant achievements in healthcare, education, women's empowerment, agriculture, and youth engagement. Now, Hon. Wongbe returns home from regional duty at ECOWAS to connect with his constituents, share progress, discuss current challenges, and outline expectations for 2026 and beyond.

During this tour, he will:

- Present the 2025 Year-End District & Impact Report
- Provide updates on ongoing and future projects
- Listen to community concerns and ideas
- Share his 2026 development priorities
- Strengthen accountability and trust

Hon. Wongbe believes that effective leadership flourishes when leaders collaborate with their communities. He looks forward to meaningful dialogues with his people.

The CIC of Nimba District 9 Hon. Taa Wongbe is currently en route to Nigeria with his assistant, Meshach T. Varmie, as they prepare for the 2025 Second Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament in Abuja. This marks Meshach's first international trip, and thanks to the lawmaker who prioritized the importance of such experiences for young people.

Witnessing Meshach's excitement, gratitude, and readiness for new adventures is truly inspiring! This is great leadership quality from a leader who always support our youth in gaining exposure and expanding their horizons. Every journey is an opportunity for growth! Safe travels Boss!
