Good 🗞️ News!

‎We are excited to announce our proposal for scholarships, which was accepted by the administration through our innovative President, Dr. Romelle A. Horton, months ago for the valedictorian, salutatorian, and the third highest-ranking student from the undergraduate and associate programs to transition from associate to undergraduate studies and from undergraduate to graduate programs, has been successfully implemented. As a result, the six highest-ranking students from the 63rd Commencement in June 2025, from both undergraduate and associate programs, have received admission letters for enrollment on a fully funded scholarship through our advocacy.

‎We extend our deepest appreciation to the administration for working alongside us in making this dream a reality. Their continued commitment to academic excellence and support for student advancement has once again demonstrated their dedication to the future of our institution and its students. This scholarship initiative will not only motivate current students to strive for higher academic achievements but also strengthen the legacy of Cuttington University as a place where hard work and merit are duly rewarded.

‎We wholeheartedly congratulate B. Barbu (Valedictorian), B. W. Bundoo (Salutatorian), and Yarkpawolo (Third Highest Ranking Student) from the Undergraduate Program, as well as M. K. Borbor (Valedictorian), M. Lamadine (Salutatorian), and M. Darius (Third Highest Ranking Student) from the Associate Program. These brilliant students have set the pace for academic excellence and are now reaping the reward of their diligence through this scholarship opportunity.

‎Special thanks also go to Vice President, H.E W. Wright and cadre P. whose tireless support, encouragement, and leadership throughout this process have been invaluable. Her contributions and unwavering partnership made it possible for us to succeed in this advocacy, and I am deeply grateful for the teamwork and shared vision that brought us here today.

‎Together, we remain committed to building pathways of opportunity for our students and ensuring that their academic excellence is recognized, supported, and rewarded. Subject: Handover of Assets and Financial Statement

Overview

Before concluding our term in office, we, the Cuttington University Students Union (CUSU) under the leadership of President Marvelous G. Matthews and Vice President W. Wright, wish to provide a comprehensive report regarding our financial status and the assets that we are officially handing over to the newly elected administration.

Financial Report

We would like to inform you that the previous administration before our administration left no assets or financial resources for us when we took office. Fortunately, as we complete our term, the administration of Marvelous G. Matthews and W. Wright is proud to leave the following financial resources:

1. Fifty-Five Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Liberian Dollars (L$55,680).

2. Two Hundred Twenty United States Dollars (US$220).

These funds will serve as a starting balance for the incoming administration to support their activities in the coming term.

Assets Handover

In addition to the monetary resources, we are also officially turning over the following assets to the new leadership:

1. Large Size Tiger Generator (Blue)
2. 40 Plastic Chairs (White)
3. 12 Umbrellas
4. 12 Tables (White)
5. 32-inch Flat Screen Television Set

These materials are intended to assist the new administration in carrying out its duties effectively.

We wish the new leadership all the best in their upcoming term at Cuttington University Students Union.

Greetings distinguished audience!

As we draw down the curtain of our leadership, we express heartfelt gratitude to our supporters for enabling us to reach thus far. Our progress marks a significance level of impact and it is because of each you. The manifestation of your unswerving commitment towards the progress of Cuttington University was observed in our just ended electoral processes. Maintaining a unique sense of humor, camaraderie amidst fault-finding claims, unjustified allegations, posed at our office; yet, we reconciled our dissatisfaction and disagreement with a peaceful election and transparent elections.

In a genuine bid of not sugarcoating and scapegoating issues, we are pleased to congratulate our mighty successors from the just ended general elections — Ms. Blessed L Bless Luah Nuahn, President elects and Mr. Amb Titus D Stryker Vice President elects. ‎We are pleased to inform the general student body that the election guidelines for the upcoming Senior Class Elections are now officially available.
‎
‎All interested and qualified students wishing to contest for positions in the Senior Class are hereby encouraged to begin the registration process as outlined in the guidelines.
‎
‎Copies of the guidelines can be accessed at Student Center and around the Admission Office. Kindly adhere to all procedures and deadlines stated therein.
‎
‎For further inquiries or assistance, please visit the Office of the Electoral Committee at Student Center.

PRESIDENT Marvelous G. Matthews SECURES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CUTTINGTON VALEDICTORIANS

Great news! Our efforts are paying off, and we remain committed to making a difference.

One week ago, the President's office held a meeting with the Cuttington University administration, advocating for scholarships to support valedictorians in furthering their education.

We are excited to announce that our proposal for scholarships covering valedictorians transitioning from junior college to undergraduate studies and from undergraduate to graduate school has been officially approved to begin this June.

We proposed that salutatorians receive half tuition and the third-ranking student receive one-third tuition. While this suggestion remains under consideration, the administration has promised to revisit it after further discussion. However, the support for valedictorians is confirmed.

Additionally, we proposed campus internet connectivity to the administration. In response, they informed us that WiFi is available around the Admissions Office and G-Stand. They also advised us to reach out to the IT department to facilitate student access.

This development underscores President Marvelous G. Matthews Marvelous G. Matthews’ dedication to advocating for students at Cuttington University.

Congratulations to all of us! This achievement empowers our students to strive for academic excellence, knowing scholarships are available for those who excel.
