E. Yonnie Zangar’s story is one of faith, resilience, hard work, and compassion. Born and raised in Dayougar Town, Grand Bassa County, she devoted her life to her family, her Christian faith, and serving others. As a member of the United Methodist Church and a former Waterside Market woman in the 1980s, she understood the value of perseverance and caring for those in need.
Her journey later took her to Greenville, Sinoe County, and Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County. Wherever life took her, she carried with her a spirit of strength, kindness, and hope.
Today, her legacy continues through the E. Yonnie Zangar Memorial Children’s Donation, established to help vulnerable children access education, essential needs, encouragement, and opportunities for a brighter future.
We invite individuals, families, churches, organizations, and friends of Liberia to become part of this legacy. Your support can help a child learn, grow, and dream.
If you would like to learn more, support our mission, sponsor a child, or partner with the Memorial, please reach out to us. Together, we can turn Yonnie’s legacy of compassion into a lasting gift of hope for children.
