▶️Academic Integrity and Efficiency Workshop: Harnessing Mendeley for Effective Reference Management📍
On November 11, 2024, Ms. Dilhani Munasinghe, Senior Assistant Librarian Grade I at the Postgraduate Institute of Medicine, University of Colombo, and currently a Senior Lecturer on sabbatical at the University of Kelaniya, conducted an insightful workshop titled "Academic Integrity and Efficiency: Harnessing Mendeley for Effective Reference Management." This session took place in the Faculty Board Room of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Kelaniya. The workshop aimed to enhance research skills by emphasizing the role of literature in research and the essential practices of organizing bibliographies and managing citations. Participants, including faculty members and students, gained valuable insights into the structure and purpose of a literature review and its significance in academic writing. This was coordinated by Ms,. Nadeeka Rathnabahu Director of the REsearch Library and Information Centre , Faculty of Social Sciences and Ms, JM Oshani Jayamanne Temporary assistant Lecturer attached department of Library and Information science, University of Kelaniya help to fruitful this task.

Utilizing Mendeley Web for seamless research workflow.
Best Practices: Practical tips on organizing bibliographies, managing citations, and enhancing research efficiency were shared, empowering participants to streamline their research processes and maintain accurate citations.
This hands-on session was highly beneficial for students and researchers, equipping them with essential skills in reference management and academic integrity.
