بقلوب يعتصرها الألم والحزن، ننعى إلى الأمة العربية واللبنانية رحيل القامة الفنية الاستثنائية، والمثقف المتمرد، والموسيقار العبقري زياد الرحباني، الذي ترك بصمة لا تُمحى في الذاكرة الثقافية والموسيقية.
لقد رحل من حمل الوجع اللبناني بصوته وألحانه، وصاغ بحروفه الساخرة مرآةً صادقةً للواقع، فكان نبض الشارع، وصوت الرفض، وأمل الحالمين بالتغيير.
زياد لم يكن مجرد فنان، بل كان حالة فكرية وفنية فريدة، تجاوزت الأطر التقليدية، وكسر القيود بأعماله المسرحية والموسيقية الخالدة، من “بالنسبة لبكرا شو؟” إلى “فيلم أميركي طويل”، إلى مقطوعاته التي ستبقى تنبض في ذاكرة الشعوب.
نعزي والدته السيدة فيروز، وأسرته الكريمة، وكل محبي فنه وفكره.
وداعاً زياد… رحلت الجملة الساخرة، والبيانو الحزين، والصوت الذي لم يساوم يوماً.
لك المجد في عليائك، ولنا الحنين
With hearts heavy with sorrow, we mourn the passing of the extraordinary artistic icon, the rebellious intellectual, and the musical genius, Ziad Rahbani. His departure leaves an indelible mark on the cultural and musical memory of Lebanon and the Arab world.
Ziad carried the Lebanese pain in his melodies and words. Through his sharp wit and soulful compositions, he mirrored the truth of society—he was the voice of the people, the echo of dissent, and the hope of those dreaming of a better tomorrow.
He was not merely an artist, but a cultural phenomenon—a unique thinker and creator who transcended conventional boundaries. From his timeless plays like “Bennesbeh Labokra Chou?” to “A Long American Film”, and through his haunting compositions, Ziad gave voice to generations and offered soundtracks to their joys and struggles.
We extend our deepest condolences to his mother, the legendary Fairouz, to his family, and to all who cherished his art and his ideals.
Farewell, Ziad…
The satirical line has fallen silent, the sorrowful piano has dimmed, and a voice that never compromised has departed.
