El pasado viernes celebramos en la Embajada de España en el Líbano el Día de las Fuerzas Armadas ( ). El Embajador De Lucas ofreció una recepción en su residencia, en presencia del Agregado de Defensa, en reconocimiento a la labor y compromiso de nuestras Fuerzas Armadas.

Last Friday, we celebrated Armed Forces Day ( ) at the Embassy of Spain in Lebanon. Ambassador De Lucas hosted a reception at his residence, in the presence of the Defense Attaché, in recognition of the work and commitment of our Armed Forces.

El Embajador Miguel de Lucas ha visitado, junto con la Representante de ACNUR en Líbano, Karolina Lindholm Billing, escuelas y asentamientos en la Bekaa y en Baalbek - Hermel que acogen a refugiados sirios y a desplazados libaneses para hablar con ellos y conocer su realidad y sus necesidades. Se ha entrevistado también con el Gobernador de la Bekaa, Kamal Abou Jaoudeh, y el Gobernador de Baalbek, Bashir Khoder.

Ambassador Miguel de Lucas González visited, together with the UNHCR Representative in Lebanon, Karolina Lindholm Billing, schools and settlements in the Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel hosting Syrian refugees and displaced Lebanese, to speak with them and better understand their situation and needs. He also met with the Governor of the Bekaa, Kamal Abou Jaoudeh, and the Governor of Baalbek, Bashir Khoder. 🇪🇸🇱🇧

Gracias a , 30.800 kits enviados en el marco del Mecanismo Europeo de Protección Civil apoyan a quienes siguen viviendo en refugios AECID

Ambassador Miguel de Lucas takes part in the distribution of hygiene kits to displaced families, together with Lebanon’s HRC.

Thanks to AECID, 30,800 kits sent through the European Civil Protection Mechanism are supporting those who continue to live in shelters 🇪🇸🇱🇧.

The visit was also joined by Lebanese-Palestinian photographer Rania Matar,in a conversation on cinema, photography and cultural exchange.

The meeting allowed an exchange of views on the regional situation and the main challenges facing the country. Spain reaffirmed its commitment to cooperation with Lebanon.
