*Saharan Dust Advisory: Protect Your Health*
The Ministry of Health is advising residents and visitors to take precautions as Saharan dust continues to affect air quality across St. Kitts and Nevis.
Persons who may be more sensitive, including young children, older adults, and persons with asthma, allergies, COPD, or heart conditions, are encouraged to take extra care. Saharan dust may trigger coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and eye or throat irritation.
Protect yourself by staying indoors when possible, wearing a properly fitted mask outdoors, improving indoor air quality, keeping medication nearby, and seeking medical care if breathing symptoms worsen.
