ខេត្តសៀមរាប៖ នៅរសៀលថ្ងៃទី៣ ខែសីហា ឆ្នាំ២០២៦ លោកបណ្ឌិត ជួប រតនា ប្រធាននាយកដ្ឋានបណ្តុះបណ្តាលជំនាញវិជ្ជាជីវៈទេសចរណ៍ និងជាប្រធានលេខាធិការដ្ឋាន គ.ជ.អ.ទ. បានដឹកនាំមន្ត្រីជំនាញនៃនាយកដ្ឋាន ជួបពិភាក្សាការងារជាជួបពិភាក្សាជាមួយលោកស្រី Jay Austin ស្ថាបនិកក្រុមហ៊ុនទេសចរណ៍ Adventure Travel ដើម្បីពិភាក្សាលើកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការជំរុញការបណ្តុះបណ្តាល និងពង្រឹងសមត្ថភាពដល់មគ្គុទ្ទេសក៍ទេសចរណ៍ និងអ្នកនាំភ្ញៀវលើឯកទេសទេសចរណ៍ផ្សងព្រេង (Adventure) ដើម្បីធានាសុខសុត្ថិភាពដល់ទេសចរ។

ជំនួបពិភាក្សានេះបានផ្តោតសំខាន់លើការរៀបចំកម្មវិធីបណ្តុះបណ្តាលដែលឆ្លើយតបទៅនឹងតម្រូវការជាក់ស្តែងនៃវិស័យទេសចរណ៍ផ្សងព្រេង ព្រមទាំងការពង្រឹងចំណេះដឹង បច្ចេកទេស និងជំនាញអនុវត្តរបស់អ្នកជំនាញទេសចរណ៍ ដើម្បីអាចដឹកនាំ និងគ្រប់គ្រងសកម្មភាពទេសចរណ៍ផ្សងព្រេងប្រកបដោយវិជ្ជាជីវៈ ទំនួលខុសត្រូវ និងស្របតាមគោលការណ៍សុវត្ថិភាព។

កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការនេះ ត្រូវបានរំពឹងថានឹងរួមចំណែកដល់ការបង្កើនសមត្ថភាពអ្នកជំនាញទេសចរណ៍ក្នុងការផ្តល់សេវាកម្មប្រកបដោយគុណភាព សុវត្ថិភាព និងវិជ្ជាជីវៈ ព្រមទាំងជំរុញការអភិវឌ្ឍផលិតផលទេសចរណ៍ផ្សងព្រេងនៅកម្ពុជា ឱ្យកាន់តែមានភាពទាក់ទាញ ប្រកួតប្រជែង និងមានចីរភាព ស្របតាមទិសដៅរបស់ក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ ក្នុងការលើកកម្ពស់គុណភាព និងភាពប្រកួតប្រជែងនៃវិស័យទេសចរណ៍កម្ពុជា។

Ministry of Tourism Strengthens the Capacity of Tour Guides and Tour Escorts in Adventure Tourism to Ensure Tourist Safety

Siem Reap Province: On the afternoon of 3 August 2026, Dr. Juab Ratana, Director of the Department of Tourism Vocational Skills Training and Head of the Secretariat of the National Committee for Tourism Professionals, led technical officials from the Department in a working meeting with Ms. Jay Austin, Founder of an Adventure Travel company, to discuss cooperation in promoting training and capacity development for tour guides and tour escorts specializing in adventure tourism, with the aim of ensuring tourist safety.

The meeting primarily focused on developing training programs that respond to the practical needs of the adventure tourism sector, while strengthening the knowledge, technical competencies, and practical skills of tourism professionals. These efforts are intended to enable tourism personnel to lead and manage adventure tourism activities in a professional and responsible manner, in accordance with established safety principles and practices.

This cooperation is expected to contribute to enhancing the capacity of tourism professionals to deliver high-quality, safe, and professional services, while also promoting the development of adventure tourism products in Cambodia to make them more attractive, competitive, and sustainable. These efforts are aligned with the Ministry of Tourism’s strategic direction to enhance the quality and competitiveness of Cambodia’s tourism sector.

From Occupations to Professional Skills! Ministry of Tourism Promotes Skills Development Opportunities for Informal Tourism Economy Workers in Siem Reap through Skill Vouchers

Siem Reap Province: On the morning of 3 September 2026, Dr. Choub Ratana, Director Professional Training Department and Head of the Secretariat of the National Committee for Tourism Vocational Skills Development, together with Oknha Samuhak Pandit Ly Sophea, held a direct meeting with approximately 100 representatives of youth groups engaged in the informal tourism economy in Siem Reap Province. The meeting aimed to promote registration on the digital platform CAMIE and facilitate access to Skill Vouchers, enabling participants to receive basic vocational tourism skills training tailored to the nature and specific requirements of their respective occupations and businesses.

The meeting was organized to raise awareness and provide guidance to individuals engaged in businesses and occupations within the informal economy on the benefits of registering on the CAMIE digital platform and accessing Skill Vouchers. These vouchers provide an opportunity for informal-sector workers to participate in vocational skills training based on their specific needs, occupations, and types of businesses.

Through the use of the CAMIE digital platform and Skill Vouchers, informal tourism economy workers will have broader access to appropriate vocational skills training aligned with their occupations. They will also have opportunities to progressively enhance their competencies from basic to advanced levels. This initiative is expected to contribute to improving workforce productivity, service quality, and the competitiveness of Cambodia’s tourism sector.

Phnom Penh: His Excellency Hout Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the ceremony and had the high honour of presenting certificates of continued recognition to two vocational tourism training institutions during the “Workshop on the Promotion of Vocational Tourism Skills, Combined with the Certificate Awarding Ceremony for Participants of the 2026 Training Courses for National Master Trainers and National Master Assessors in Hotel Services in accordance with the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement on Tourism Professionals (ASEAN MRA-TP)”, held at the Ministry of Tourism.

The official recognition serves as an important testament to the commitment and efforts of the two vocational training institutions to comply with the principles, requirements, and training standards established by the Ministry of Tourism. This recognition aims to ensure the quality, effectiveness, and credibility of vocational tourism skills training.

Furthermore, the authorization for the two institutions to operate as vocational tourism training schools demonstrates the significant cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the private sector in jointly developing human resources in the tourism and hospitality industry. Through the active participation of private training institutions, greater opportunities will be created for young people and individuals currently working in the tourism sector to access high-quality vocational skills training.

This initiative represents an important contribution to strengthening the quality of tourism professionals, enhancing service standards, and supporting the sustainable development and competitiveness of Cambodia’s tourism and hospitality sector.

២. ជំនាញការិយាល័យជួរមុខ (Front Office)
៣. ជំនាញចុងភៅ (Cook/Chef)
៤. ជំនាញឆុងកាហ្វេ (Barista)
៥. ជំនាញគេហកិច្ច (Housekeeping)

កម្មវិធីបណ្តុះបណ្តាលទាំង ៧នេះ ត្រូវបានរៀបចំឡើងសម្រាប់អនុវត្តជាគម្រោងសាកល្បងនៅតំបន់គោលដៅចំនួន ៤ រួមមាន រាជធានីភ្នំពេញ ខេត្តកំពង់ធំ ខេត្តកំពត និងខេត្តសៀមរាប ដោយផ្តោតលើការពង្រឹងសមត្ថភាពជំនាញវិជ្ជាជីវៈ ការលើកកម្ពស់គុណភាពសេវាកម្ម និងការបង្កើនឱកាសទទួលបានការងារ និងប្រាក់ចំណូលប្រកបដោយចីរភាពសម្រាប់អ្នកប្រកបរបរក្នុងសេដ្ឋកិច្ចក្រៅប្រព័ន្ធ។

Developing Informal Economy Workers in the Tourism Sector as a Driving Force for Economic Growth in Siem Reap Province

Siem Reap Province: On the afternoon of 2 September 2026, H.E. Hout Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over a seminar on “Promoting the Development of the Informal Economy, Vocational Skills Development, and Enhancing Service Quality in the Tourism Sector.” The seminar was organized to promote the implementation of the National Strategy for Informal Economy Development 2023–2028, with the participation of approximately 3,500 informal economy workers.

On this occasion, the working team of the Department of Tourism Vocational Skills Training, led by Dr. Choub Ratana, Director of the Tourism Professional Training Department and Head of the Secretariat of the National Project Management Committee, participated in an exhibition showcasing the Department’s achievements, the achievements of the HoKa Project, as well as books and various instructional materials on tourism vocational skills. The exhibition aimed to disseminate information and highlight opportunities for skills development available to workers engaged in the informal economy within the tourism sector.

Dr. Juab Ratana also delivered a presentation on the draft seven vocational skills training programmes designed for informal economy workers. These programmes have been developed through collaboration between the Department of Tourism Vocational Skills Training, the International Business Institute, and the Skills Development Fund (SDF). The seven programmes include:

1. Hospitality Skills for Informal Economy Entrepreneurs
2. Front Office Skills
3. Cook/Chef Skills
4. Barista Skills
5. Housekeeping Skills
6. Food and Beverage Service Skills; and
7. Leadership Skills

The seven training programmes have been developed for pilot implementation in four target areas: Phnom Penh Capital, Kampong Thom Province, Kampot Province, and Siem Reap Province. They focus on strengthening vocational competencies, improving service quality, and expanding access to employment and sustainable income-generating opportunities for workers engaged in the informal economy.

Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Tourism seeks to strengthen the capacity and professionalism of informal economy workers in the tourism sector, thereby contributing to improved tourism service standards, enhanced livelihoods, and sustainable socio-economic development
in Cambodia.
