The first phase of the week-long leadership visitation to regional offices concluded today with productive engagements between the ORPP leadership and field teams in Isiolo, Nyeri, Nyahururu, and Nakuru.
The sessions provided an opportunity for the Registrar, Assistant Registrar, and senior management team to assess field-based service delivery models, review milestones achieved, and collaboratively explore strategies to strengthen stakeholder engagement and enhance services to citizens.
“You must continue remodelling ORPP services at the regional level and provide excellent support systems to all stakeholders, particularly citizens, in line with our commitment to decentralized service delivery,” emphasized Registrar J.C. Lorionokou during the visits.
Assistant Registrar CS Agatha Wahome commended the dedication of field officers and their efforts in implementing community-oriented programmes that benefit all citizens, including Special Interest Groups (SIGs). “Every region faces unique challenges, and we shall prioritize interventions that strengthen operations and improve service delivery,” she noted.
Regional Coordinators Mohamed Gulleid (Isiolo), Judy Gathoni (Nyeri), Charles Njagi (Nyahururu), and John Mwaura (Nakuru) highlighted key achievements and public engagement initiatives within their jurisdictions, demonstrating the transformative grassroots impact of ORPP services.
The engagements were attended by Director Compliance D.N. Kinuthia and Heads of Departments, including Jane Kamau (Administration), Damaris Mwendwa (HRM), Joshua Ngala (Field Services Coordination), Bob Waithaka (ICT), and Andia Khaseke (Internal Audit), alongside departmental and regional team members. The departmental heads reaffirmed their commitment to seamless coordination and timely support to regional offices in pursuit of exceptional service delivery.
The team also paid courtesy visits to neighbouring regional offices of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) IEBC and the Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ)
Phase One of the leadership engagement programme also included earlier visits to the ORPP regional offices in Mombasa and Malindi, led by Coordinators Susane Mwaingo and Marjorie Okeyo, respectively.
