MAZINGIRA CUP – First Edition 2025
Sport for Environmental Awareness 🌱⚽
Every great achievement begins with an idea. The Mazingira Cup is a community football initiative that leverages sport to promote environmental awareness, youth empowerment, and gender inclusion across Junju Ward, bringing together 18 teams.
The inaugural finals featured Youngster FC (Timboni) against Cryptonite FC (Vipingo), celebrating talent, teamwork, and strong community spirit.

As part of its commitment to gender equity, dignity, and inclusion, sanitary towels were included in girls’ awards to support hygiene and sustained participation in sports.
The love and support shown by the community cannot be quantified. We aim to expand awards in future editions to reflect the intrinsic motivation and dedication of all participants.
