Today, I held a productive consultative meeting with officials from the State Department for Housing and Urban Development to discuss the implementation and progress of the upcoming Maai Mahiu Modern Market.

The discussions focused on project timelines, implementation plans, and ensuring that the market is delivered to the highest standards for the benefit of our traders and residents.

The Maai Mahiu Modern Market will provide a modern, safe, and organized trading environment, creating more business opportunities, improving livelihoods, and boosting our local economy.

I remain committed to working closely with the National Government and all relevant stakeholders to ensure this transformative project is completed successfully. Together, we are building a better and more prosperous Maai Mahiu.

Today, I had the privilege of hosting a consultative meeting at the Boardroom of the Maai Mahiu Ward MCA Office, bringing together investors, officials from NEMA, Public Health, the local administration, Nakuru county staff,and representatives of the Kanairobi community.

The meeting focused on addressing the persistent challenges affecting residents, including dust pollution, poor road conditions, and their impact on public health, agriculture, and livestock. Through open dialogue, all stakeholders committed to finding practical and lasting solutions.

I appreciate everyone who took part in this important engagement and reaffirm my commitment to ensuring that the resolutions reached are implemented without delay. As your MCA, I will continue to champion the interests of the people of Maai Mahiu Ward and work with all stakeholders to deliver meaningful development.

Together, we will build a cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous Maai Mahiu.

Yesterday, I attended a stakeholders' meeting in Lare Village, Maai Mahiu Ward, together with community members and relevant agencies to discuss a proposed quarry project in the area.

As leaders, we welcome investors who are willing to bring development and create employment opportunities for our youth. However, any investment must prioritize the safety, health, and well-being of our residents and must comply with all environmental regulations.

During the meeting, local residents raised concerns about the potential impact of the proposed quarrying activities on their health, environment, and livelihoods. I listened carefully to their views and emphasized the importance of public participation in all development projects.

As the MCA for Maai Mahiu Ward, I remain committed to ensuring that the voices of our people are heard and that no project proceeds without proper consultation and adherence to environmental standards.

Through the Office of the MCA, Maai-Mahiu Ward, under the leadership of Hon. Eliud Kamau Chege, we wish to inform all residents of Maai-Mahiu Ward that Mr. Elikana Warugu Kimotho, who has been serving as a Personal Assistant (P.A.) in our office, is no longer working with the Office of the MCA, Maai-Mahiu .

We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and thank him for the service he rendered during his time with us.

PCEA Maai-Mahiu Town Elders' Ordination Service

Today, I had the honor of joining the congregation at PCEA Maai-Mahiu Town for the Elders' Ordination Service. It was a blessing to witness this important occasion as dedicated servants of God were ordained to take up greater responsibilities in His ministry.

I congratulate all the ordained elders and pray that God grants them wisdom, strength, humility, and grace as they serve His people. Your commitment to the work of the Lord is a great inspiration to our community.

May the church continue to be a beacon of hope, faith, and unity in Maai-Mahiu Ward. I wish the newly ordained elders God's abundant blessings as they begin this new chapter of service.

Today, I visited Maai-Mahiu Level Hospital so that the people of Maai-Mahiu can know how far our hospital has progressed. I want you to know that it is almost complete. All the major installations have been done, and a lot of work has already been accomplished. The good news is that some medical equipment has already started arriving.

In two weeks, I will be back there again to show you more progress, including the section where the morgue is located.

I am pleased to inform the residents of Maai-Mahiu that the street lighting project is progressing well, and several areas have already benefited from the installation of lights.

So far, lights have been installed in:

Kwale Area

Bamboo Area near Redeemed Church

Gathima area

Kamuchira Emmanuel PCEA Area

Longonot Town

Githarane, Longonot

Jikaze Area

The work is still ongoing, and more areas will continue to be covered.

We remain committed to serving the people of Maai-Mahiu and delivering on the responsibilities entrusted to us by the residents. Together, we will continue working to improve security, accessibility, and development across our community.
