SHOCKING INCIDENT: WOMAN HUMILIATED BY NEW NNUS LTD DRIVER ON NAIVASHAβNAIROBI ROUTE
> βI am sharing this painful experience not just for myself, but for every woman who has ever faced humiliation in silence.β
Speaking to Naivasha Trendings, the woman narrated what she went through on 10th November 2025, while travelling with her children from Naivasha to Nairobi in a New NNUS LTD matatu, registration number KCQ 544R.
During the journey, one of her young children accidentally vomited inside the vehicle β something that could happen to anyone. Instead of showing understanding or compassion, the driver turned on her in anger, shouting insults and using humiliating words in front of all passengers. She was embarrassed, shaken, and deeply hurt.
To make matters worse, the driver forced her to clean the vehicle herself while her children watched in tears. Despite her attempts to explain that it was an accident, he continued yelling, insisting she must clean.
Later, when her husband tried to reach out to understand what had happened, the driver arrogantly said the child βwas not supposed to vomitβ and that her husband βhad no right to question him since the matatu isnβt his.β
Such behavior is unacceptable, inhumane, and unprofessional, violating the Passenger Service Vehicle (PSV) Code of Conduct, NTSA regulations, and the Consumer Protection Act (2012).
No woman, mother, or child deserves such humiliation when using public transport.
She is now calling on New NNUS LTD management and relevant authorities to:
1. Investigate the incident immediately.
2. Take strict disciplinary action against the driver of vehicle KCQ 544R.
3. Ensure all NNUS drivers are trained in customer care, empathy, and professional conduct.
Public transport must offer safety, dignity, and respect β not fear and embarrassment.
