This is our land. It is the land upon which we and our ancestors were birthed. It is the land upon which our children were, and will be, birthed. We have a historical responsibility to protect our birthright from the Ruto-UDA dictatorship and birth a new republic that can guarantee justice and dignity to all.

I was recently interviewed by Annaflavia Merzulli for Kritica, an Italian publication. We discussed everything under the sun, including:

“Kenya is a neo-colonial state, and the neo-colonial state is created in the image of the colonial state. Most of the statutes that exist in our penal code are colonial laws. The institutions of the state - whether we are talking about parliament which has today been captured by the presidency, or the judiciary, or the police - need a complete overhaul.

What needs to happen at the minimum is an abolition of this police force and the creation of a new one in its place - one guided by tenets of human rights and human dignity. You simply cannot reform a colonial system.” - Sungu Oyoo

Kenya, i nuovi movimenti di sinistra che ora puntano alla Presidenza

Today marks the final day of the continuous voter registration exercise.

During this period, we have seen around 2 million new voter registrations. Majority of these registrations are Kenyan youth who will play a key role in shaping Kenya’s democratic processes in the coming years.

Use this last day to register as a voter because we must urgently vote out the corrupt leaders who trash the constitution at every turn - those who are behind the public finance crisis that Kenya faces, and who are complicit in grave human rights abuses.

We must inaugurate a new Kenya during the 2027 elections.

In today’s East African Standard: A 3 billion shilling shipment of industrial sugar imported for factories was quietly diverted, repackaged and sold for domestic/household use - putting the health of millions at risk.

Yaani, wamemaliza G-2-G Program, na leo wanalamba sukari. These thugs should be arrested and jailed.

The 12 Billion shillings petroleum scandal.

Primary duty bearers responsible for administering the petroleum supply chain in Kenya recently manipulated data on in-country fuel stocks to create a false impression of an impending supply shortfall. The manipulated figures were then used to trigger the irregular procurement of 60,000 metric tonnes of emergency fuel cargo by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum, procured in breach of the G2G (Government to Government) framework, at a price significantly above contracted rates, and of substandard quality.

Quality tests conducted by a quality assurance manager at the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) found that the consignment contained elevated sulphur levels, rendering it non-compliant with Kenyan fuel specifications. Elevated sulphur levels that can cause cancer!!

We now have a fuel shortage. Human greed will be the end of us.

The thing with this recent fuel scandal and the resignations around it is that its a charade. More heads need to roll, including the top leadership of the ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
