H.E. Dr. Hon Irungu Kang'ata today addressed partners at the HENNET Forum during the 18th AGM at KICD, highlighting Murang’a County’s progress in healthcare through Kang’atacare, Telemedicine, Mobile Dialysis, and full digitization of all 157 facilities. He urged stakeholders to embrace technology and explore local manufacturing to strengthen health systems.

Murang’a County Government hosted the National World Prematurity Day 2025 celebration at Murang’a Level 5 Hospital, themed “Give preterm babies a strong start to a brighter future.”

The event brought together Ministry of Health representatives and stakeholders to raise awareness on preventing premature births.
Key interventions highlighted included positive behaviour change, improved nutrition, and Kangaroo Mother Care.

The County Government reaffirmed its commitment to maternal and newborn health through free iron–folic supplements, ANC support, and upgraded newborn care equipment.
