His Highness King Maurice Rapando recently joined stakeholders, students, and members of the community at the National Biosafety Authority (NBA) Awareness and Public Sensitisation Expo held at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Shianda. The event provided an important opportunity for participants to learn more about biosafety, innovation, and sustainable agricultural practices that are shaping the future of food production and environmental conservation in Kenya.
The expo was graced by the Chairman of the Board of the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), Hon. Thuo Mathenge, alongside representatives from various institutions committed to advancing research, agriculture, and public awareness. Through exhibitions, presentations, and interactive sessions, participants gained valuable insights into the role of biosafety in supporting safe and responsible use of modern technologies in agriculture.
The attendance of King Maurice Rapando highlighted the growing interest among community leaders in initiatives that empower citizens with knowledge and encourage informed decision-making. His presence also reflected the importance of bringing scientific information closer to the people, particularly young learners and farmers who stand to benefit from innovations in the agricultural sector.
The National Biosafety Authority was commended for organizing the informative forum, while appreciation was extended to all stakeholders, students, and community members who participated. Their engagement helped make the expo a meaningful platform for learning, dialogue, and collaboration in promoting a more sustainable and food-secure future.
