At the International Gospel Ministries Church in Migori Town, County Secretary Dr. Oscar Olima accompanied H.E. Dr. Governor Ochilo Ayacko and H.E. Governor Gladys Wanga during the ongoing Women's Conference.
The conference brought together women for worship, reflection, and spiritual encouragement, providing an opportunity to strengthen faith and foster fellowship among participants.
The presence of the county leaders underscores the County Government's recognition of the important role faith institutions play in strengthening and supporting community development.

EDUCATION ACCESS, YOUTH EMPOWERMENT & SPORTS

Governor Dr. Ochilo Ayacko has expanded access to education while creating pathways for youth empowerment through scholarships, sports and talent development.

Our Administration has invested KSh 240 million in bursaries benefiting 41,870 learners, introduced the Governor's Education Merit Grant for outstanding but financially disadvantaged students, strengthened vocational education through capitation support, and transformed sports into a platform for talent identification and economic opportunity. Strategic investments in sports infrastructure, countywide competitions and youth development programmes continue to position Migori as a leading county in nurturing academic excellence and sporting talent.

📢 July Salary Update: Migori County Government has communicated on the delay in salary payments and ongoing efforts to resolve the matter.

A delegation from the County Pensions Fund (CPF) today paid a courtesy call to the Office of the County Secretary, Dr. Oscar Olima, to strengthen collaboration and partnership.
During the visit, CPF presented the County Secretary with the 2nd Runners-Up Trophy in recognition of Migori County Government as one of the most consistent counties in remitting current monthly contributions.

UPDATE ON STATUS OF MIGORI BRIDGE

The County Government of Migori is aware of the structural failure of the main Bridge in Migori town. We have immediately cordoned off the site and deployed county engineers to conduct a full damage assessment.

Public safety is our priority. We are also liaising with the National Government Authorities to determine reconstruction timelines.

More information will be released within 24 hours.
