Over the weekend, I had the privilege of attending two fundraisers aimed at raising school fees for three students joining different universities. I was encouraged to see the community come together to support the education of our young people.
A child who is taken to school becomes an asset not only to the parents, but to the entire community. Education empowers our children to become future professionals, leaders, employers and problem-solvers.
As we build the future of Mfangano, education and youth empowerment must remain at the heart of our agenda. I believe in practical leadership that invests in people and creates opportunities for our children to succeed.
Mfangano Ward, the choice is ours. Choose a leader with vision, commitment and a proven desire to serve. Choose Hon Orao Thomas because Mfangano deserves better.

Yesterday, I joined the people of Mauta in mourning and condoling with the family of Mr. Hassan Matunga and the entire Wasamo clan following the passing of their beloved matriarch, Mama Patricia Hassan.

Mama Patricia's departure is a great loss not only to her family but also to the wider community. During this difficult time, may we find strength in unity, cherish the memories she leaves behind, and draw comfort from the love and support of those around us.

My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved family and the entire Wasamo clan. May the Almighty grant you comfort, peace, and the strength to bear this painful loss. May Mama Patricia Hassan's soul rest in eternal peace.

Today, I joined family, friends, and fellow mourners during the burial of the late Mzee Ochieng Kilonzi of Wakinga, Amalamasa Village.
Mzee Ochieng was a man of courage, honesty, and wisdom. He spoke his mind boldly, without fear or favour, and always stood for what he believed was right. His voice, guidance, and presence will greatly be missed by the people of Wakinga and beyond.
Indeed, Wakinga has suffered a painful and irreplaceable loss. As we mourn him, we also celebrate a life well lived, a life that touched many hearts and inspired many people.
May the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest, and may He give strength and comfort to the entire family and the people of Wakinga during this difficult time.
