Trans Nzoia County ASDSP II is supporting the development of the Trans Nzoia Agriculture Sector Coordination bill.
The purpose of this bill is to establish a Consultation, Cooperation and Coordination Committee in the County Department of Agriculture, define it's membership, functions, powers and also establish a Fund to finance it's operations. The bill applies to all agriculture stakeholders and their operations in the county. The CECM for Agriculture, Irrigation, Livestock and Fisheries. County government continues to work closely with farmers for our County to realize its full potential in agriculture.Among the prioritised projects in the Governor's Manifesto is the fertilizer subsidy programme that will ensure farmers achieve optimal use of fertilizer for higher yields.

Agriculture CEC Mary Nzomo represented H.E Deputy Governor at a field day in Endebes sub county, maize farmers learned modern technologies of maize farming that will increase their yield.

Director for Cooperatives Mr. Hosea Serem addressing dairy farmers and members of Chepkoilel dairy cooperative society during their Special General Meeting.

Chepkoilel dairy is one of the cooperatives in Saboti being supported by NARIGP in dairy value chain. The cooperative will be supported with grant of Kshs. 5.4M for acquisition of a milk cooler.

Today our Agriculture CECM Mary Nzomo represented our Governor H.E George Natembeya in gracing the open learning event at VI Agroforestry. The open learning event will be on up to Friday 16th September.

Present in the official opening was VI Agroforestry Country Manager Madam Elizabeth Mwiyeria and Farmers.

There is an open Learning event happening from today at VI Agroforestry. All Farmers are invited.
