The County Government of Kisii joins millions of fans across the region and the country in celebrating our spectacular daughters, the Shabana Starlets, for their historic and breathtaking victory in the Women’s National Super League (WNSL) 2025/2026 Playoffs! In a nerve-wracking, heart-stopping final at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, our girls proved that the spirit of Tore Bobe is undefeated. Holding their composure under immense pressure, they secured a remarkable 6–5 victory on penalty shootouts against a tough Mathare United Women side to lift the absolute championship crown!
This triumph is not just a trophy; it is a golden ticket. By clinching the WNSL National Title, Shabana Starlets have officially sealed their historic promotion to the FKF Women’s Premier League! What a meteoric rise! Formed just three years ago, this incredible team has transitioned from the Regional Leagues to the top tier of Kenyan domestic football. Their promotion means that the mighty Shabana brand now proudly boasts both a men's and a women's team competing at the highest level in the country.
