What’s happening with banditry in Isiolo–Meru is honestly heartbreaking � Our people deserve to live, work, and travel without fear.
As vijana, we cannot normalize violence. Lives are being lost, families displaced, and livelihoods destroyed—this is not the future we want for our region.
As a team, we believe it’s time for real, practical solutions—not just talk. We need stronger community policing, better coordination between security agencies, and genuine engagement with local communities to address the root causes of these conflicts.
At the same time, we must invest in opportunities for our youth—jobs, education, and sports—so that no young person feels like violence is their only option.
Isiolo and Meru are one community. Peace is possible, but it will take all of us—leaders, vijana, and wananchi—standing together.
We won’t stay silent. We push for peace, justice, and a safer future for everyone �

My name is Timothy Karithi, and I stand before you as a proud Gen-Z aspirant for Member of Parliament, Texas North — Isiolo North Constituency.
I carry a bold vision and a fearless determination to transform Isiolo into “Texas North” — a center of opportunity, innovation, and prosperity.

I come from the generation that refuses to settle for less.
A generation that believes Isiolo deserves:

Better and modern roads

Quality and future-ready education

Manufacturing, industries, and value addition

Strong digital networking and technology hubs

Empowered youth entrepreneurship

Sasa vijana wa Isiolo North!
Leo nasimama hapa si k**a kiongozi wa mbali, si k**a mtu wa ahadi tupu — nasimama hapa k**a mmoja wenu. Mimi ni kijana, ninaelewa pressure ya joblessness, ninaelewa frustration ya kuapply kazi bila majibu, ninaelewa talent iko lakini platform hakuna.
Gen Z wa Isiolo tumeitwa majina mengi — “watu wa online,” “watu wa pressure,” lakini ukweli ni huu: sisi ndio generation yenye ideas, creativity, na courage ya kusema ukweli. Tatizo sio sisi. Tatizo ni system ambayo haijatupatia nafasi ya kutosha.
Wakati niliingia kwa youth leadership, nilijiuliza swali moja: Tutakaa tukilalamika ama tutachukua action? Ndiyo maana kupitia youth service tumeanza kuorganize trainings, mentorship, na kuconnect vijana na opportunities. Si perfect, lakini ni mwanzo.
Lakini wacha niseme ukweli — hatutaki symbolic leadership. Hatuwezi kuwa tunaambiwa “vijana ni future” lakini hatuko kwa table ya maamuzi. Future inaanza sasa.
Isiolo North iko na potential kubwa sana. Tuna vijana wenye wanaweza kuwa digital creators, agribusiness innovators, boda boda entrepreneurs, tech freelancers, sports talents, na leaders wa kesho. Lakini tunahitaji:
Skills development ya ukweli
Access to funding bila ukabila wala favoritism
Transparency kwa projects za youth
Platforms za kusikiza sauti ya vijana
Na ndio maana k**a aspirant MP wa Isiolo North, msimamo wangu ni clear:
Youth empowerment isiwe slogan — iwe budget.
Kila ward iwe na structured youth forum ya kusikiza ideas zenu.
Digital opportunities ziletwe huku nyumbani — tusibaki nyuma kwa tech na online economy.
Talent support programs ziwe open na fair.
Na kuhusu Linda Gen Z na movement za vijana — message yangu ni moja: hatuko hapa kushindana, tuko hapa kushirikiana. Youth unity ndio nguvu yetu. Hakuna maendeleo bila sisi kuwa pamoja.
Vijana, leadership sio kupiga kelele tu. Ni vision, consistency, na courage ya kusimama hata wakati si rahisi. Mimi niko tayari kusimama na nyinyi, si kwa maneno tu bali kwa action.

“Our people are not confused. They know the difference between a criminal and a hustler.
Today, instead of chasing armed bandits hiding in the hills, this operation is busy harassing unarmed youths in town—especially boda boda riders who are just trying to earn an honest living.
Let me ask a simple question: Who is the real threat to Isiolo?
Is it a young man on a motorcycle with no gun, or bandits in the countryside carrying AK-47s?
When security operations target boda boda riders instead of gun-wielding bandits, we are not solving insecurity—we are punishing poverty.
Our security resources should be focused where the danger is real: the hills, the bush, the bandits.
Not the streets. Not the youth. Not the hustlers.
As a Gen Z leader, I stand with our youth. Security must protect the people, not terrorize them.
Isiolo Texas North deserves safety, justice, and leadership that speaks truth—even when it’s uncomfortable.”*

My fellow young people,

We are the generation the world has been waiting for, the dreamers, the builders, the warriors of possibility. We carry in our hearts the fire of change, and in our minds the courage to rewrite the story of our time.

But let’s be honest, life has not been easy for many of us. We’ve faced rejection, poverty, broken homes, and lost opportunities. We’ve been told we’re too young, too inexperienced, too ambitious. But I say this, age does not limit power, doubt does.

Every great leader you’ve ever read about was once told, “You can’t.”
But they looked the world in the eye and said, “Watch me.”

My friends, if your dreams don’t scare you, they’re too small.
If your goals don’t stretch you, they’re too safe.
And if your vision doesn’t make people question your sanity, it’s not bold enough.

We are not here to be comfortable, we are here to make history.
We are not here to wait for opportunities, we are here to create them.
We are not here to be followers, we are here to be the spark that leads others out of darkness.

So rise, Youths! Rise with your ideas. Rise with your courage. Rise with your hunger to make a difference. You are the generation that will break the chains of idleness, corruption, and hopelessness.

When they say you are too young to lead, lead anyway.
When they say you don’t have experience, gain it by doing.
When they say you can’t make a difference, prove them wrong.

The future is not written by the powerful, it is written by the passionate.
And the world does not change when we complain, it changes when we commit.
