*CECM JANET KURGAT CHAIRS SECTORAL MEETING TO REVIEW PROGRESS AND PLAN WAY FORWARD*
The County Executive Committee Member for Devolution, Administration, Public Service Management, Partnerships, Liaison and Linkages, Janet Kurgat, on Tuesday chaired a sectoral meeting to review ongoing programs and outline strategic priorities for the department.
The meeting, which brought together Chief Officer Ruth Samoei and departmental directors, focused on assessing progress made across key initiatives, addressing emerging challenges, and strengthening coordination within the sector.
CECM Kurgat emphasized the need for enhanced teamwork, accountability, and service excellence, noting that these principles remain central to achieving the county’s devolution and public service transformation agenda.
> “We must continue to align our efforts with the county’s development priorities while ensuring that our people receive efficient and quality services,” she said.
She further outlined key operational areas requiring attention, including adherence to performance contracts, compassion and empathy in public service, punctuality, and professionalism in workplace conduct. Kurgat also reminded staff of the importance of maintaining a neat and official dress code that reflects the county’s commitment to order and discipline.
The session also served as a platform to deliberate on ways to strengthen partnerships, enhance administrative systems, and foster stronger linkages between county departments and external stakeholders.
Kurgat reaffirmed the department’s commitment to building a transparent, disciplined, and results-oriented public service that promotes efficiency and drives sustainable development across Uasin Gishu County.
