Good morning comrades. we are saddened this morning by the news of untimely demise of our own, Dr. Alfred Koross of the Department of Mathematics, School of Science. On behalf of the Graduate Students Fraternity, we wish to send our sincere condolences to family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.

Good evening comrades. It has come to our know that the postgraduate computer laboratory of late has been congested and the computers available have become few. Therefore I wish to inform you that as from tomorrow afternoon there will be more desktop computers installed in the lab and there shall be approxamately 20 more ports for connecting internet cables. This will provide access for comrades who enjoy using their laptops for internet access. However, comrades will be required to come with their own cables for internet connection.
As we proceed on this, we continue to lobby for a bigger room that can accommodate at least 100 computers in order to provide internet access to more comrades.

Good morning friends!
First of all I would like to take this opportunity convey, on behalf of all graduate students, our heartfelt condolences to all comrades, friends, family and relatives of the late Githinji. Our prayers are with you and all we ask is that the University in its entirity accords him a decent sendoff. I also commend all students of UoE for the manner in which they handled this delicate issue. All stakeholders, including students and Chepkoilel Matatu Sacco officials should find a lasting solution to the ever persistent indiscipline displayed by the matatu operators plying the Chepkoilel-Ziwa route.

Secondly, the much awaited General Election for our country is nigh. With only 4 days to go, I wish to reming all comrades and any other affiliate to this page that we (University Students) are relied on heavily by our communities and society at large. Let's keep in mind that whatever a learned man or woman says back in the villages is taken with utmost seriousness. Let us use our refined brains to guide our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, children and everyone else in the right manner. Also bear in mind that after March 8th we are all required to go back to the lecture rooms and interract. Tribe must remain a unifying factor and not otherwise.
Peace, Democracy and Tranquility remain the main reason we are going out there to VOTE.

Chepkoilel University College to be awarded a charter and elevated to a fully fledged University. The ceremony will be held on 11th February, 2013 at Chepkoilel University college pavillion and the Guest of Honour will be H.E. Mwai Kibaki, the 3rd President of Kenya. He will be accompanied by the first lady Mama Lucy Kibaki.
Our new name shall be The University of Eldoret.
