CFAY Public Works Department scheduled regular water main maintenance in Ikego Heights Family Housing Area Tuesday, May 20 through Thursday, May 22. Work is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and end approximately 3:30 p.m. each day

DODEA Ikego Elementary School is scheduled to have work begin Tuesday, May 20 at 1 p.m.

NAVFAC Far East crews are set to flush water mains by opening fire hydrants throughout Ikego Heights Family Housing Area. This removes natural sediment deposits in the drinking water pipes and helps maintain the water quality in the system. This work may also cause a temporary reduction in water pressure and/or discoloration of the water. This discoloration is harmless and is caused by the natural minerals and sediments being flushed out. Personnel experiencing discolored water, are asked to turn on the cold water tap and let the water run for a few minutes until the water runs clear.

Personnel continuing to experience any persistent water quality problems are asked to call the CFAY Public Works Trouble Desk at 243-5555.
