On October 27, the 10th MDB hosted LTG Matsunaga, commander of the JGSDF’s 9th Division, for a site tour and briefing on the unit’s mission. Bilateral training opportunities and a renewed focus on partnership is a huge success. We look forward to our future training opportunities together! One Team, Samurai Strong!

１０月２７日、第１０ミサイル防衛中隊は、陸上自衛隊第９師団長松永陸将をお迎えし、当通信所のミッションについての概要説明とサイトツアーを行いました。二国間のトレーニングの機会と成功に向けたパートナーシップへの新たな焦点について協議を行いました。今後の共同訓練開催を楽しみにしております！ワンチーム！サムライストロング！

Members of the 10th MDB participated in Aomori’s annual Tachineputa Festival, culminating in the Tachineputa float pulling event! The 10th MDB Command Team and multiple volunteers enjoyed the honor of pulling one of the floats that weighed around 19 tons (38,000lbs) around the city of Goshogowara. Participating in events like this help to strengthen our partnership and give our Soldiers a better appreciation of the Japanese culture. We are already looking forward to next summer’s festival!

第１０ミサイル防衛中隊は、五所川原市の立佞武多に引手として参加してクライマックスを迎えました。

第１０ミサイル防衛中隊のコマンドチームとボランティアの兵士たちは、19トンもの重さの立佞武多を、五所川原市内を引いて回るという名誉的な役割で参加しました。このようなイベントに参加することにより、日本の文化に感謝するだけでなく、相互協力関係を強化します。また来年の夏の祭りに参加するのが楽しみです！

The Samurai Battery joined forces with our JASDF partners at nearby Magua Beach to clean the shoreline and protect our shared community. 🌊 Through teamwork, shared responsibility, and commitment to service we continue to show that when allies unite, every mission (and every beach) can be left better than we found it. 🇺🇸 🤝 🇯🇵

サムライ中隊は、パートナーである航空自衛隊とともに、マグアビーチの海岸清掃を行いました。協力関係の下で、責任や義務も共有し、同盟国が協働すると、すべての任務（や、すべての海岸) が、今まで以上より良くなっているということを証明し続けます。

Recently, the 10th MDB hosted the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Japanese Air Self Defense Force (JASDF), Warrant Officer Kochaku “Chuck” Hiroyasu for a site tour. The visit began with a capability brief and discussion on our Air Defense partnership and concluded with a tour around the site where WO Hiroyasu presented three battery personnel with coins. Samurai Strong!

先日、第１０ミサイル防衛中隊は、航空自衛隊准曹士先任　髙着“チャック”弘康准尉をお迎えしサイトツアーを行いました。当通信所の能力に関する概要説明と、防空におけるパートナーシップに関する議論で始まり、通信所内を見学されたのち、部隊の人員に記念のコインを授与して締めくくりました。　サムライストロング！

Throughout the month of July, 10th MDB partnered with the Shariki Elementary School, JASDF, and Tohoku Defense Bureau to support multiple community-outreach events in the Tsugaru City area. Soldiers enjoyed teaming up with students to compete in a scarecrow-making competition, and later volunteered their time to clean up trash on Magua Beach. The Samurai Team is always grateful for opportunities like these to strengthen the relationships we have with our bilateral partners and local community!

令和7年の7月、第10ミサイル防衛中隊は、つがる市において、車力小学校、航空自衛隊車力分屯基地、東北防衛局と共に地域のイベントに参加しました。
兵士達は、小学生達とかかし作りを楽しみ、週の終わりにはマグアビーチの海岸清掃にもボランティアとして参加しました。サムライチームは、このような地域のイベントに参加することで、2国間の協力関係や、地域のパートナーシップをより強化できる機会を得られて大変光栄に思います。
