先日行われた東京マラソン2011の様子です☆
今年は天気が良くて良かったですね（＾－＾）スカイツリーも綺麗に見えます。

【宝蔵門☆Houzou-mon】
雷門をくぐり仲見世を通ると”宝蔵門”があります。
浅草寺の宝物の収蔵庫になっているため宝蔵門と言います。雷門と同様迫力がありますよ！！

There is "Houzou-mon" when we go along Kaminari-mon Gate and the shopping area!!
Senso-ji Temple is a treasure vault of the collection.

浅草からは東京スカイツリーも見えますよ（＾－＾）今はまだ建設中ですが、だんだん高くなってきました。完成すれば電波塔としては世界一です！！楽しみですね♪

I see the Tokyo Sky Tree from Asakusa.
When completed, the Tokyo Sky Tree will be the tallest tower in the world beating Canton Tower (600 m (1,969 ft)), the tallest structure on an island beating Taipei 101 and the second tallest structure in the world after the Burj Khalifa.Please look forward to it completion！！

雷門を通ると仲見世があります。仲見世では日本の伝統的な商品
が沢山あります。とても楽しいショッピングエリアです！

There is a shopping area when I go along Kaminari-mon Gate！
your will be on the Nakamise, a quaint shopping area that leads to the Sensoji itself.This shopping area is very fun☆

Make sure you take some time to explore the various shops on the Nakamise as you can take care of most of your souvenir shopping in one place. Everything from postcards to Japanese snacks, masks, dolls, toys and even happi coats Kimono and Yukata (casual Kimono) can be purchased here.

The wedding was held at Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa.
It is a traditional Japanese wedding.

表参道入口の門。切妻造の八脚門で向かって右の間に風神像、左の間に雷神像を安置することから正式には「風雷神門」というが「雷門」の通称で通っている。慶応元年（1865年）に焼失後、長らく仮設の門が建てられていたが昭和35年（1960年）、約1世紀ぶりに鉄筋コンクリート造で再建された。実業家・松下幸之助が浅草観音に祈願して病気平癒した報恩のために寄進したものである。

The Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate"?) is the outer of two large entrance gates that ultimately leads to the Sensō-ji (the inner being the Hōzōmon) in Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. The gate, with its lantern and statues, is popular with tourists. It stands 11.7 m tall, 11.4 m wide and covers and area of 69.3 m2

History

The Kaminarimon was first built in 942 by Taira no Kinmasa.It was originally located near Komagata, but it was reconstructed in its current location in 1635. This is believed to be when the statues of Raijin and Fūjin were first placed on the gate. The gate has been destroyed many times throughout the ages. Four years after its relocation, the Kaminarimon burned down, and in 1649 Tokugawa Iemitsu rebuilt the gate along with several other of the major structures in the temple complex.The Kaminarimon's current structure dates from 1960.

浅草　観音堂☆ASAKUSA　temple dedicated to Kannon

創建以来、本堂は焼失と再建とを繰り返しました。慶安2年（1649年）、徳川家光によって再建されました。国宝に指定されています。

most famous for the Sensō-ji, a Buddhist temple dedicated to the bodhisattva Kannon. There are several more temples in Asakusa, as well as various festivals.

History

For most of the twentieth century, Asakusa was the major entertainment district in Tokyo. The Rokku or "Sixth District" was in particular famous as a theater district, featuring famous cinemas such as the Denkikan. The golden years of Asakusa are vividly portrayed in Kawabata's novel The Scarlet Gang of Asakusa (1930; English translation, 2005). The area was heavily damaged by US bombing raids during World War II, particularly the March 1945 firebombing of Tokyo. The area was rebuilt after the war, but has now been surpassed by Shinjuku and other colorful areas in the city, in its role as a pleasure district.

浅草寺の五重塔☆Senso-ji　five story pagoda

five story pagoda is a place of Buddha put ashes.
942 years. Senso-ji pagoda was built by the Kin Masa Taira. Then, caught in a fire and collapse. It was rebuilt each time.
