3 Tips to Manage Your Social Anxiety:
1. Challenge your negative and anxious thoughts: You don't have to assume the first anxious thought that pops into your head is correct or the one you have to run with. Analyze these thoughts, and see if there's evidence that supports or disproves them.
2. Be mindful: Focusing on the present moment can allow us to not be trapped by our past or future thoughts. Practicing mindful meditation consistently can reduce anxiety levels up to 40%!
3. Find safe social situations to engage: Look for supportive social environments that can help you overcome your fears, and reinforce pro-social behaviors. Racking up positive social experiences makes it easier to tell ourselves that the catastrophe in our heads isn't likely to happen!
