5月31日、中国とインドネシアの伝統衣装の着付け体験を開催しました！✨

中国とインドネシアの伝統衣装について学びながら、実際に着付けも体験していただきました。

また、中国とインドネシアのお菓子やお茶を楽しみながら、動画を見たり、おしゃべりをしたりして、交流の時間もたっぷり😊

ご参加いただいた皆さま、ありがとうございました。

On May 31, we held our Chinese and Indonesian Traditional Clothes Experience! ✨

Participants learned about traditional clothing from China and Indonesia and had the chance to try the outfits on themselves.

While enjoying Chinese and Indonesian snacks and tea, we watched videos, shared stories, and spent plenty of time getting to know one another 😊

🎨 第3回「世界の美術を知る」：台湾レトロタイル 🎨

今回は、台湾建築に見られる美しいレトロタイル文化をご紹介します✨

ワークショップでは、タイルを使った簡単なコースター作りにも挑戦！
さらに、台湾の飲み物やお菓子も楽しみながら、参加者同士で交流できるイベントとなっています😊

また、「レトロ台湾」の展示は6月10日〜20日までニセコ町民センターにて開催します。
ぜひお気軽にお立ち寄りください！

🎨 World Art Vol.3: Retro Taiwanese Tiles 🎨

This time, we’ll explore the unique and beautiful tile culture found in Taiwanese architecture ✨

Participants will also get to enjoy a simple coaster-making workshop using retro-style tiles, while tasting Taiwanese drinks and snacks and connecting with fellow community members 😊

In addition, our “Find the Nostalgia in Taiwan” exhibition will be on display at the Niseko Chomin Centre from June 10–20. Feel free to stop by and take a look!

🌏 5月21日、ジョアンナがワールドビレッジにやってきました！✨

生徒の皆さんに台湾の民族や文化について紹介し、台湾麻ひもの編みバッグ作りにも挑戦しました🧶

完成したバッグはペットボトルを入れるのにぴったり！
でも昔は、別のものを入れるために使われていたそうです…さて、何でしょう？😆

楽しく交流しながら、台湾文化に触れる素敵な時間となりました！

🌏 On May 21, Joanna visited World Village! ✨

She introduced students to Taiwanese culture and ethnic traditions, and together they made woven bags using h**p string 🧶

The finished bags are perfect for carrying water bottles—but apparently, they were originally used to carry something else in the past… any guesses? 😆

It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about Taiwanese culture while having fun together!

💬 English Conversation Club
Held mostly every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month (with some exceptions). It’s open to everyone, so be sure to register!

🗣️ Japanese Salon
Held mostly every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month (with some exceptions). It’s a great chance for foreign residents to practice Japanese, while local Japanese participants can join as volunteer conversation partners!

5月11日～20日、アンナとカニャは国際交流基金日本語国際センターの研修に参加しました！

日本語教授法についてたくさん学び、全国から集まったJET参加者の皆さんと交流することができました✨
今回学んだことを、これからニセコ町の日本語サロンでも活かしていきたいです！

研修は埼玉県・北浦和で行われ、少し都会の生活も体験しました。
とても楽しい時間でしたが、やっぱり穏やかなニセコが恋しくなりました🥹💗

From May 11–20, Anna and Kanya took part in a training programme hosted by the Japan Foundation!

We learned a lot about Japanese language teaching methods and had the chance to connect with JET participants from across Japan ✨
We’re excited to bring what we learned back to the Japanese Salon in Niseko!

The training took place in Kita-Urawa, Saitama, where we got a little taste of city life.
It was nice, but we still found ourselves missing Niseko 🥹💗

Learn about the important Chinese tradition of the Dragon Boat Festival while enjoying a hands-on experience of wrapping zongzi together.

🌷 Our Spring Walk event was a lot of fun! ✨

We started by learning some seasonal Japanese words and useful phrases like “What is this called in Japanese?”

During the walk, participants used photo cards of buildings, signs, and other things found around town to ask the Japanese volunteers questions in Japanese.
It was a fun way to practise Japanese while exploring together 🌸

最初に、季節に関する日本語や「これは日本語で何ですか？」というフレーズをみんなで勉強しました

その後のお散歩では、建物や標識などの写真カードを使いながら、日本人ボランティアの皆さんに日本語で質問！
実際にまちを歩きながら楽しく日本語を学ぶことができました🌸

✨今年のゴールデンウィークも楽しく過ごしました！✨

ファビアンは函館へ桜を見に行き、満開の景色を楽しみました🌸
カニャは東京を訪れ、ちょうど開催されていたインドネシアの「バティック」展へ。
ペイペイは九州を巡り、温泉や神社をたくさん楽しんだそうです♨️⛩️

そして、ジョアンナとアンナはそれぞれ台湾へ！
ジョアンナは屋台や猫がたくさんいる場所へ行き、
アンナは海の景色を満喫しました🌊

来年のゴールデンウィークは、みんなどこへ行くのでしょうか？😊

✨We had a wonderful Golden Week this year!✨

Fabian went to Hakodate to see the cherry blossoms, and they were in full bloom 🌸
Kanya spent most of the holiday in Tokyo and visited an Indonesian batik exhibition that happened to be taking place there.
Peipei travelled around Kyushu, visiting various hot springs and shrines ♨️⛩️

Meanwhile, Joanna and Anna both visited Taiwan separately!
Joanna explored places filled with street food stalls and cats,
while Anna spent time by the sea 🌊

We wonder where everyone will go for Golden Week next year 😊
