Dr. Raneem Qaddoura, Associate Professor of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), plays a vital role in preparing the next generation of technology leaders and innovators.

We were proud to meet Dr. Qaddoura at FemiTech at King Hussein Business Park and learn more about her inspiring journey, which recently reached a remarkable milestone with her receiving the Abdul Hameed Shoman Award for Arab Researchers and Scientists (2025) in Engineering and Technology Sciences for her research on intelligent traffic flow management systems.

This prestigious recognition highlights not only her academic excellence, but also the caliber of Jordanian talent driving innovation and advancing scientific research across the region.

نظّمت وزارة الاقتصاد الرقمي والريادة بالتعاون مع وزارة التربية و التعليم لقاءً لتوديع الطلبة الأردنيين المقبولين في برنامج Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2026، إيذانًا بانطلاق فصل جديد في مسيرة شبابنا نحو العالمية.
تأتي هذه المبادرة ثمرةً لوفد Jordan Source إلى كندا في عام 2024، وضمن مشروع الشباب والتكنولوجيا والوظائف (YTJ)، الذي أسّس لشراكة استراتيجية مع Mitacs، وفتح المجال أمام الطلبة لخوض تجربة بحثية لمدة 12 أسبوعًا في أبرز الجامعات الكندية، في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي والأمن السيبراني والروبوتات والتقنيات المتقدمة.

25 Jordanian changemakers heading to Canada 🇯🇴🇨🇦
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship in collaboration with The Ministry of Education hosted a send off for the Jordanian university students accepted into the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our students and for Jordan’s growing role in global research and innovation.
This moment is the result of Jordan Source’s 2024 delegation to Canada, which through the Youth, Technology and Jobs (YTJ) project built a strategic partnership with Mitacs and translated ongoing strategic work into real opportunities for Jordanian youth. Through this partnership, students will undertake 12-week research internships at leading Canadian universities, in fields including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics, and advanced technologies.
A new step that opens wider horizons for Jordanian youth in research and innovation.

As part of a rich and focused program of engagements in Paris, the Business Forum Roundtable marked a key moment in the lead up to the EU Business Forum 2026.

In collaboration with the Embassy of Jordan in Paris, MEDEF, the European Union, the Ministry of Investment, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship , the roundtable convened leading French stakeholders and institutional partners for a targeted investment dialogue.

The discussions reinforced our shared commitment to strengthening economic cooperation, advancing strategic sectors, and positioning Jordan as a trusted partner for European companies seeking regional growth.

This engagement forms part of a broader outreach effort designed to ensure strong European participation at the EU Business Forum in Amman this April.
