· Good health care--the building of a series of comprehensive health care centers in strategic easily accessible locations with resident doctor,

· Alternative energy sources such as solar energy options for electricity,

· Modern agricultural techniques and marketing opportunities,

· Reliable public transportation systems such as rail service and school buses.

· Community college, to be located adjacent to the Edwin Allen High School.

· Reestablish banking and commerce in the town of Frank-filed

· Rebuild the public library with a computer lab access area.

In association with the prime minister’s broader developmental objectives--growth strategy for Jamaica, Dr. Clovis B. Nelson is aiming to work with local and global financial agencies, individuals and organizations in order to capitalize on the known availability of financial assistance in the form of grants and donations for this venture, (NOT LOANS).

Dr. Nelson aims to do so by exercising the practice of smart philanthropy, public-private partnership strategies (PPP), established on a premise of real moral leadership strategies and sound ethical principles. This will not only promote trues within the communities, growth, reduce poverty, and drive large-scale positive change--development, it will also stamp out—eradicate corruption, cronyism, nepotism, and other forms of chronic biased practices that have plagued the area for a very long time.

Dr. Nelson will utilize smart interconnected initiatives with the right people and organizations. The need to form positive alliances with international foreign affairs and development agencies is paramount for the broader developmental plan for Northwestern Clarendon as the Jamaican government’s funding source is limited.

Dr. Nelson plans to ascertain grants from agencies with which he is very familiar and has established strong bonding with. Institutions such as: -

· The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) located of Canada,

· The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB),

· The International Development Association (IDA),

· The United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

· The Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS)
