This historic house, is surrounded by the orchard of the Archeologia Arbore Foundation, a collection of more than 400 ancient native fruit trees. A small village Lerchi is at 300 mt with a market, post office and other facilities. With a stunning view towards the orchard and the medieval village of Santa Maria Tiberina, the house is composed of two floors. At groundfloor are located a double bedro
oms with bathrooms, a spacious kitchen and dining room, featuring a fireplace of the 16th century. At first floor a doube bedroom (plus two single beds) and a bathroom. The house has its own heating system, constituted by convector heaters and a tile stove. In the garden there are ample
spaces, tables and an external shower. Every object here has a story to tell. The house is like a small museum of peasant history but with all the modern comforts. Products from the orchard are available for use accoring to seasons. Small animals are allowed. The house is close to the main building of San Lorenzo, with its ancient church. Here others rooms are available with living spaces. The main city of Città di Castello, 3km away from the house, is a renowned location for historical-artistic monuments and events. Along the year Città di Castello and the local area is home to several events and a large choice of visits to historic heritage sites and contemporary art museum. In the city center it’s possible to visit the Municipal Art Gallery or just walking around the city to be enchanted from his gothic and renaissance palaces. Nearby, in Monterchi, it is possible to admire the famous painting of Piero della Francesca, “La Madonna del Parto”. The city also offers an important contemporary art musem, with the permanent collection of Alberto Burri. From the end of August to the beginning of September take place the “Festival delle Nazioni” (Music Festival).
