iran says its missiles destroyed key us radar systems in the Middle East
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says missile units and special dronesبهcarried out a large-scale strike targeting key US early-warning radar systems across the Middle East.
According to the statement, THAAD radar systems deployed in the UAE and Jordan as well as the long-range AN/FPS-132 early warning radar in Qatar, known as the “Desert Eye,” were successfully destroyed during the operation.
If confirmed, the attack would represent one of the most significant strikes against US missile-defense infrastructure in the region, potentially impacting regional air-defense monitoring capabilities.
No official confirmation has yet been issued by the United States or the countries where the systems are deployed.
