#عن "سلاح الغذاء" وسط طبول الحرب.. مركز "رواق بغداد" يفتح ملف الأمن الغذائي'
في ظل التوترات الجيوسياسية المتسارعة التي تعصف بالمنطقة والعالم، أقام مركز رواق بغداد للسياسات العامة ندوة حوارية تخصصية تحت عنوان:
"سياسات الأمن الغذائي في ظل الحروب"
استضاف فيها الباحثة الدكتورة إيمان جواد عبد الكاظم، التي قدمت قراءة تحليلية حول كيفية تحول رغيف الخبز إلى جزء من معادلة الصراع ،
سلطت الضوء فيها على التأثيرات المباشرة لـ الحرب الروسية الأوكرانية على سلاسل الإمداد العالمية، وتداعيات الحرب ما بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران على استقرار الأسواق،
فضلا عن مقارنة تحليلية بين سياسات الأمن الغذائي في العراق ومصر وبقية الدول العربية، وكيفية مواجهة الفجوة الغذائية المتزايدة،
والاشارة الى مدى قدرة السياسات المحلية على الصمود أمام تقلبات الأسعار العالمية وتأمين الاحتياجات الأساسية للمواطنين.
شهدت الجلسة التي أدارها الاعلامي احمد الحلو حضوراً لنخبة من الأكاديميين والباحثين والمهتمين بالشأن السياسي والاقتصادي،
اعقبها حفل توقيع كتاب "سياسات الامن الغذائي في البلدان العربية ،،العراق ومصر ،،،دراسة مقارنة،
للضيفة الباحثة ' الصادر عن دار ومكتبة الرواق .
# “Food as a Weapon” Amid the Drums of War… Rewaq Baghdad Opens the File of Food Security
Amid rapidly escalating geopolitical tensions affecting both the region and the world, the Rewaq Baghdad Center for Public Policy held a specialized panel discussion titled:
“Food Security Policies in Times of War.”
The session hosted researcher Dr. Iman Jawad Abdul-Kadhim, who delivered an analytical perspective on how bread has become part of the equation of conflict. She highlighted the direct impacts of the Russia–Ukraine war on global supply chains, as well as the repercussions of tensions between the United States and Iran on market stability.
The discussion also featured a comparative analysis of food security policies in Iraq, Egypt, and other Arab countries, addressing how these states confront the growing food gap. It further examined the capacity of local policies to withstand global price fluctuations and ensure the provision of essential needs for citizens.
The session was moderated by journalist Ahmed Al-Hilu and attended by a distinguished group of academics, researchers, and individuals interested in political and economic affairs.
The event concluded with a book signing of
“Food Security Policies in Arab Countries: Iraq and Egypt – A Comparative Study,”
authored by the guest researcher and published by Rewaq Library and Publishing House.
