"Python town" is the place where we have best example of community based conservation. We get rescue call in those cases where the python fall down in well and the farmer needs to use water pump to pull out the water. We rescue those python and release them in the nearest place. Same kind of rescue call we got but this time well is not much deeper. We went at spot and going down to the well, we checked well but python went away.

The moral of this rescue is farmer called us and waited for us instead of hurting the animal. We consider our hardwork successful as the community is helping us for conservation.

Because of these kind of understanding and Coexistence the central Gujarat is known as "Python Town".

Working with the community for wildlife conservation is always fascinating. We as Coexistence with Pythons always keen to work with communities. Our teammate Ami Shrimali got a call from the village. She went on spot and she fleberclasted to see python stucked in fishing net. She interact with people to check history and then she got to know that the python was stuck since last 8-9 days. She rescued the python, cut the net and informed forest department to take custody.

The parfect example of our work and women empowerment.

Ami did tremendous work as she used to do spread awareness in such villages and villagers called her to rescue the python rather then killing.

Kudos to Ami and local community for their contributions.

With this post we just wanted to pass the message that girls can also do superior task if she well aware.

Brumation is prety beneficial and key behavior in reptiles. In python town we are doing various work towards the python conservation. Data collection is one of the primary work for any action. We are doing various surveys to better know the need of pythons. We are doing Seasonal surveys to understand their behaviour and activity. Pythons are like to stay in artificial den.Its very helpful for conducting the winter surveys.

Yesterday on the occasion of we got a call from the local community and they informed us that they see one python in their farm where they are working. We reach at location and Rescued the snake. As always we informed the forest department and After the 1 km away from the rescue location we have released Python back in to the wild.

Local peoples are very keen about the Pythons and their conservation. Which is the clear msg of .

We are celebrate our festivals/holiday like this and we are never off duty for Pythons.

We are happy to share that local community are being involve to know more about the and . Today we vitnessed one precious moment where a father was reading our book and explaining his son. we hope that our next generation will be more sensible for . The kid was also so curios to know about the .He wants a copy to read and we gifted him the same copy.

The day when all snake people celebrate and pay gratitude towards the snakes. As we are working with local community for conservation in , today we got one call from local. He said one stucked in the fishing net and we tried to remove fishing net. After a while he again call us and informed that "Successfully we have removed python from the net and released him back into the wild. We have video documented entire operation and sending you the same." He share this video which is clearly shows our work.

We are all set, our volunteers are at ground and keeping their eyes on cyclone "Nisarga". Our Animal helpline numbers during cyclone is active, this response is undertaken in association with team for ground level rescue and rehabilitation.

In this global situation we all are staying in home but their is no limitation for animals. They are freely roaming because of very less human intervention.

On 31st May 2020 we got a call from a village, that one python felled down in the well. So our team leader Maheta Jaydeep went the spot and rescued the animal. We get so many calls in a year for python rescue and we always attend each n every call. In this lockdown we are also working towards the python conservation.

Kudos for our leader and team.

P.S : Python was Rescued and released in to the wild. All protocols are followed and also informed Wildlife Care Centre,Ahmedabad (Gujarat Forest Department)
