With the primary objective of providing more efficient and transparent policing services to the public, Vikarabad District Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Sneha Mehra, IPS, visited Tandur Police Station today as part of the annual inspections.
On this occasion, the SP closely examined the cleanliness of the police station premises, office administration, security of records, and the performance of personnel in the discharge of their duties. In particular, she thoroughly inspected station diaries, the progress of pending cases, rowdy sheets, suspect sheets, history sheets, the order book, beat books, the status of warrant ex*****on, records of seized properties, and the safety and security of case properties and issued several instructions to the officers.
Later, the District SP stated that officers and staff should discharge their duties in such a manner as to ensure speedy justice to victims and maintain constant accessibility so that there are no gaps between the police and the public. She made it clear that no records should be kept pending at the station and that every record must be updated from time to time.
She specifically instructed the officers to remain highly vigilant regarding the protection of women and children and cases of crimes committed against them, maintain special surveillance, and expedite legal procedures to ensure immediate justice to victims.
She further stated that night patrolling should be continued regularly by integrating scientific and technological methods and that continuous surveillance should be maintained on the movements of habitual offenders.
In view of the upcoming prestigious Bonalu and Muharram festivals, the District SP issued key guidelines to officers regarding the maintenance of law and order. She directed that CCTV surveillance be further strengthened in sensitive and important areas of the town and advised the staff to work in a manner that would bring a good name to the District Police Department.
