REC Foundation, CSR arm of REC Limited, continues to strengthen education infrastructure in some of the most remote regions of the country.

In line with this commitment, REC Foundation has executed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on 29.05.2026 with Karnataka Public School, Hiriadka, Udupi, to provide financial assistance of ₹3.60 Crores for “Construction of new Primary School Building”.

The MoA signing ceremony was graced by Shri Gurme Suresh Shetty, Hon’ble MLA; Shri Manjunath Bhatt, Principal, Karnataka Public School; and Shri Somyakant, Sr. CPM, RO Bengaluru, REC Limited, along with other officials from Karnataka Public School and REC Limited.

The project is expected to substantially augment access to quality educational infrastructure and provide an improved and conducive learning environment for students in Udupi district.

स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा 2026 के अंतर्गत स्वच्छता एवं उचित अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से आरईसी क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय, लखनऊ द्वारा राज्य सरकार के अधीन संचालित एवं प्रदेश के प्रतिष्ठित अस्पतालों में से एक वीरांगना झलकारी बाई महिला एवं बाल चिकित्सालय को 03 ट्विन पोल माउंटेड डस्टबिन वितरित किए गए।

यह पहल अस्पताल परिसर में स्वच्छता, स्वास्थ्य एवं उचित कचरा प्रबंधन को प्रोत्साहित करने के साथ-साथ स्वच्छ भारत मिशन के उद्देश्यों को सुदृढ़ करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है। अस्पताल के प्रशासन, चिकित्सकों एवं प्रबंधन टीम ने आरईसी के इस प्रयास की सराहना की तथा स्वच्छता, जनकल्याण एवं सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व के प्रति संगठन की प्रतिबद्धता की प्रशंसा की।

Powering Viksit Bharat 2047

Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Director (Finance), REC Ltd., chaired the session on “Financing the Transmission Imperative” at the National Conference on Power Transmission organised by India Energy Forum on 29 May 2026 in New Delhi. The session featured eminent industry leaders and sectoral experts including Balwant Joshi, MD, Idam Infrastructure Advisory, Akshay Hiranandani, CEO, Serentica Renewables, Sushant Kansal, VP, NAFBID and Satyan Kumar, VP, Sekura.

Emphasising that transmission is the backbone of India’s energy transition, Sh. Kumar spoke on the need for long-term, affordable capital at scale. He further highlighted REC and PFC’s pioneering role in absorbing construction-phase risks in transmission projects and underscored the potential of state transmission asset monetisation through InvITs to unlock and recycle equity for fresh investments.

REC sanctioned over ₹24,000 crore in transmission financing last fiscal year, while RECPDCL has facilitated projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore through the TBCB route.

Sh. Rajesh Kumar concluded the session by reiterating
“Transmission is not just utility infrastructure. It is nation-building infrastructure for Viksit Bharat.”

आरईसी के क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय, लखनऊ द्वारा स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा 2026 के अंतर्गत सर्वेभ्यो फाउंडेशन के ज़रूरतमंद बच्चों के लिए स्वच्छता से संबंधित सामग्री वितरित की गई। इसका उद्देश्य बच्चों में व्यक्तिगत स्वच्छता, साफ-सफाई और स्वस्थ जीवनशैली के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना है।

आरईसी लिमिटेड के गुरुग्राम स्थित मुख्यालय में स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा 2026 के अंतर्गत सफाई मित्रों के लिए सुरक्षा उपायों पर एक जागरूकता सत्र का आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान सफाई मित्रों को अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन के प्रभावी तरीकों एवं सुरक्षा प्रोटोकॉल की विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की गई, ताकि कचरे का नियमित उठाव और उचित निस्तारण की व्यवस्था को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाया जा सके। इस अवसर पर उनके समर्पण, मेहनत और योगदान की सराहना भी की गई।

To strengthen quality testing and assurance mechanisms for materials deployed under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), REC Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) today at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi.

The MoU was signed by Sh. Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (RDSS), REC Limited and Sh. Brijesh Sachdeva, Head of ERDA North. The signing ceremony was accorded by the presence of Sh. Prince Dhawan, Executive Director (PMD), REC Ltd. and officials from both organisations.

Under the agreement, REC Limited and ERDA will collaborate for third-party quality testing of RDSS project materials, technical support, capacity-building initiatives, and development of robust quality frameworks. The partnership will help ensure that materials used in RDSS works conform to prescribed standards and contribute to improved operational reliability of the distribution network across the country.

आरईसी लिमिटेड द्वारा स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा-2026 के अंतर्गत महत्वपूर्ण पहल करते हुए मैक्स हॉस्पिटल के सहयोग से 'द होम फॉर द एज्ड' (वृद्धाश्रम) में स्वास्थ्य जांच शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। इस शिविर में वृद्धजनों को आवश्यक स्वास्थ्य जाँच सुविधाएँ उपलब्ध कराई गईं। साथ ही उनकी दैनिक सुविधा को ध्यान में रखते हुए वॉकिंग स्टिक, नी सपोर्ट, हीटिंग पैड सहित अन्य आवश्यक चिकित्सा सामग्री भी वितरित की गई।

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), the wholly owned subsidiary of REC Limited, is expanding its portfolio by entering the domain of carbon markets.
We are inviting an Expression of Interest (EoI) for the Empanelment of Agencies for Verification and/or Validation under the Indian Carbon Market (ICM) – Carbon Credit Trading Scheme, 2023.
If your agency has the expertise to deploy qualified Verifiers and Sector/Technical Experts, partner with us to drive impactful climate action across two crucial mechanisms: (1) Compliance Mechanism: Focussed on verification of GHG emissions for obligated industries such as Aluminium, Cement, Iron and Steel, Fertilizer, Petrochemical, Petroleum Refinery, Pulp and Paper, Chlor-Alkali and Textile. (2) Offset Mechanism: Focussed on project validation/verification for non-obligated entities across sectors like Energy, Agriculture, Forestry, Waste handling and disposal, Transport, Construction, Industries, Fugitive Emissions, and Solvent Use and Carbon Capture Utilisation & Storage.

Note that the last date of submission is 29-May-2026 at 11:30 Hours IST.
