: Food delivery giant Swiggy has introduced a two-day paid monthly period time-off for all its delivery partners. When a woman delivery partner would opt to take time off, she would receive a minimum earnings guarantee.

Business Standard quoted Mihir Shah, the vice president for operations at Swiggy, saying that discomfort due to while on the road is one of the most underreported reasons that inhibit women from considering services as a viable option gig.

You can often find them in trains and public places clapping and asking for money . Everyone feels irritated and curse them for what they are .Some terrified ones give them ten or twenty and that's how they survive.Their position is the society is even below the beggars as people atleast treat the other with sympathy . People don't want to work with them , don't want to get associated with them and no one stand for their cause .They are often abused with names like chakka , hinjda etc etc .Be it bollywood or common life, mocking and abusing the transgender is glorified and often appreciate in undertone.
To alleviate their position almost nothing has been done so far , but very recently the government is mulling to give reservation to transgender and treat them as OBC which indeed is a great step given the atrocities these people have gone through.This quota can have many positive repercussions in the life of these oppressed people. An orthodox section is in contradiction with the idea as it always happens.Hoping to see this remorm solidify so that a much ignored section of the Indian society gets a representation under the ambit of articles 14,15 and 16 of the constitution of India...!!!
