महाराणा संग्राम सिंह II को मेवाड़ में कला, स्थापत्य और सांस्कृतिक जीवन के विकास में उनके महत्वपूर्ण योगदान के लिए स्मरण किया जाता है। उनके राज्यकाल में मेवाड़ ने समृद्धि और सृजनशीलता का एक उल्लेखनीय दौर देखा।

The Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, established by HlH Maharana Bhagwat Singh Ji Mewar, instituted the Maharana Mewar Awards in 1980 as a living tribute to the enduring values of Mewar— a spirit rooted in service, philanthropy and the humble dignity of duty.

For those entrusted with this legacy, the journey has always been both a privilege and a profound responsibility. One often reflects upon the example set by ones father, HlH Shriji Huzur Arvind Singh Ji Mewar, who carried this sacred trust with quiet strength, grace and unwavering humility. Through his life he reminds us that heritage was not merely to be remembered, but to be lived through service, commitment and responsibility.
Even today, one continues to be guided by that same sense of pride, duty and reverence.

This year carried a particularly poignant significance. For the first time, in honour of his life, the ‘Maharana Arvind Singh Mewar Award’ was introduced. It stands as a tribute to the ideals he embodied and the values he upheld with unwavering conviction. Though he is no longer present in person, as his son one always feels his presence and guiding light. In spirit he remains by ones side and will forever be a part of this ceremony, just as he was throughout his life, committed to celebrating service, honour and the enduring legacy of Mewar.

The Maharana Mewar Awards does more than preserve the heritage of Mewar. Through the work of the Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation they recognise and honour individuals whose courage, compassion and perseverance enrich society and uplift the human spirit. Each award celebrates a life of purpose and reminds us that the truest legacy is created through service to others.

Legacy is never merely something inherited. It is a sacred responsibility placed in our hands for a moment in time. It is our duty to nurture, strengthen and enrich it with our own actions before we entrust it, with faith and humility, to the custodians that follow.
