THE FINAL EVENT OF THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT CELEBRATION DAY 2026: The celebration was then observed with the Massive Tree Plantation Program which was organized by the Institutions Innovation Council of Tura Polytechnic in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Tura Polytechnic and the plantation was again initiated by Mr. Rikman R Marak, the Officer incharge of the National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Tura Polytechnic and the first tree of the event was planted by the Chief Guest, Madam Changrime Momin, Associate Director of Horticulture.

CONTINUATION OF THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT CELEBRAION DAY 2026: The final event of the Celebration was the “Identification of the Environmental Hazards within the Tura Polytechnic Campus” organized by Shri. Deep Shankar Chakravarty, Member Secretary of Tura Polytechnic Environmental Management Squad (TPEMS) and a “UNITE FOR NATURE PLEDGE” was taken by 10 students.

THE CONTINUITY OF THE WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY PROGRAM: The program was then followed by the Inauguration of the Polyhouse in the institute campus, by our Chief Guest Madam Changrime Momin, Associate Director of Horticulture. The Polyhouse has been provided by the Office of the Horticultural Department of Tura, West Garo Hills, for utilizing it as the Research & Development Plot for the Food Processing & Preservation Technology Department of Tura Polytechnic.

“The Germination of the Kitchen Garden Seeds” was organized by the Food Processing & Preservation Technology Department of our institute led by Madam Chibame K Marak, Sr. Grade Lecturer and the Internship Activity Coordinator of IIC unit of Tura Polytechnic accompanied by Shri. Rangkie Ch Momin, Sr. Instructor in Food Processing & Preservation Technology and the ARIIA Coordinator of IIC unit of Tura Polytechnic. Students in large number participated in the event with keen interest and enthusiasm.

On the 6th of June 2026, Institutions Innovation Council of Tura Polytechnic organized a function for official celebration of World Environment Day at the Institute’s hall and invited Madam Changrime Momin, Associate Director of Horticulture, Horticulture Office of Tura, West Garo Hills, Meghalaya as the Chief Guest of the event. Madam Changrime Momin. The Program was hosted by Madam Risasbunlin Ksanieng, Lecturer in Computer Application Engineering Department and Member of the Tura Polytechnic Environmental Management Squad (TPEMS) and the Start-Up Activity Coordinator of IIC unit of Tura Polytechnic. Furthermore speech was given by Madam Anicia Sonchi N Sangma, The Principal incharge of Williamnagar Polytechnic, East Garohills, also the Member of Tura Polytechnic Environmental Management Squad (TPEMS) and the Innovation Activity Coordinator of the IIC unit of Tura Polytechnic. The Program was then concluded by Shri. Bappi Ch Sangma, Training cm Placement Officer and the Ambassador of the IIC unit of Tura Polytechnic.

As per the Institutions Innovation Council's Celebration Activity Calendar, Tura Polytechnic's Institutions Innovation Council observed and celebrated World Environment Day of 5th and 6th June 2026 owing to the ongoing examinations. The first day was celebrated by Digital Briefings cm Presentation session at Medical Electronics Engineering Laboratory by Sir Deep Shankar Chakravarty, Sr. Grade Lecturer in Medical Electronics Department, Member Secretary of Tura Polytechnic Environmental Management Squad (TPEMS) and a Presentation on Environmental Aspects by Madam Risasbunlin Ksanieng, Lecturer in Computer Application Engineering Department and Member of the Tura Polytechnic Environmental Management Squad (TPEMS) to the selected students of Tura Polytechnic Tura on 5th June 2026.
