Poshan Pakhwada 2026 , from April 9 to 23, 2026, focuses on maximizing brain development in the first six years of life. The theme emphasizes optimal nutrition, responsive caregiving, and early learning, recognizing that over 85% of brain development occurs by age of six.

The key areas of focus include:
- Maternal and Child nutrition

- Early Stimulation for brain development (0-3 years)

- Play-Based education in early years (3-6 years)

- Role of parents and community in minimising screen time

- Strengthening Anganwadi Centres through community participation
