The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration has organized a three-day camp from 2nd – 4th December, 2020 for “Distribution of Aids and Appliances to Divyangjans” in association with Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) at Bal Bhawan, Sector 23, Chandigarh in order to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities focussing on the theme i.e. “building back better: towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 world by, for and with persons with disabilities.

The Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development, Chandigarh Administration has organized a three-day distribution camp from 2nd – 4th December, 2020 at Bal Bhawan, Sector 23, Chandigarh.

It was organized in line with the official theme of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, i.e. “building back better: towards an inclusive, accessible and sustainable post COVID-19 world by, for and with persons with disabilities."

The initiative taken by the Department of Social Welfare, Women & Child Development and ALIMCO for organizing a three-day Distribution Camp of rehabilitative aids to Divyangjans to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

It was organized with a vision to ameliorate the lifestyle of Divyangjans and to open opportunities at their workplace.
