The 38th National Sports Competitions held in Uttarakhand have not only brought exciting moments for sports lovers, but this event has also given a new identity to the cultural heritage of the state at the national level. The traditional costumes, folk culture and rich traditions of the state are being presented in front of the players and spectators from all over the country through the National Games.
On this historic occasion, an important step has been taken towards giving national recognition to the state bird of Uttarakhand, Monal. During the games, Monal has been presented as "Mooli", which is working to inspire sportsmanship and fill the event with excitement and thrill. Statues of Mooli have been installed at more than 20 places at various sports venues including Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun. These statues are not only adding to the beauty of the sports event, but are also becoming a special center of attraction among the players and spectators.
Mooli is increasing enthusiasm and excitement towards sports by establishing a dialogue with the players and spectators in the sports ground. The players are not only taking selfies with Mauli but are also enjoying the sports event by dancing to Pahadi songs. This event is taking Uttarakhand's cultural identity to new heights and traditional costumes are being displayed grandly on the national stage.
Along with sports, this event has become an important medium to get the state's rich tradition and folk culture recognized across the country. This unique effort by the Uttarakhand government has given a new identity to the state bird Monal at the national level, which is an important step towards enhancing the cultural heritage of the state.
