*Mehbooba Mufti Visits Charar-e-Sharief, Offers Condolences to Family of Late Aftab Ahmed Mir*

Charar-e-Sharief, September 7, 2026: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti today visited Charar-e-Sharief to offer her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of late Aftab Ahmed Mir, District Coordinator PDP Budgam, who passed away yesterday following a sudden cardiac arrest.

Mehbooba Mufti expressed deep grief and sorrow over the untimely demise of Aftab Ahmed Mir and conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family. She prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and for strength and fortitude to the family members to bear the irreparable loss.

She described the deceased as a dedicated and committed worker of the party who remained associated with the PDP and worked sincerely for strengthening the party at the grassroots level. She said his sudden demise has left a deep void among his colleagues, friends and the entire PDP family.

PDP General Secretary Organisation Adv. Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura, District President Budgam Mohd Yaseen Bhat, former MLA Noor Mohammad Sheikh, Party Media Coordinator Bashir Ahmed Beigh, Constituency Incharge Khansahib Manzoor Ahmed Wani, Constituency Incharge Beerwah Haji Gh Ahmad Khan, Zonal President Khansahib Basharat Naseem, Zonal President Central Shalteng Ali Mohammad Baba, Zonal President Chadura Bashir Ahmed, Youth PDP General Secretary Central Kashmir Mir Shahnawaz Ahmad, besides other senior party leaders and workers, were also present on the occasion.

The PDP leadership and workers expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give patience to the family in this hour of profound grief.

Devsar, September 4: In preparation for the meeting scheduled to be held on September 13 in Devsar, all Halqa Presidents of the Devsar constituency today attended a meeting at the residence of former Municipal Committee Town President Mushtaq Ahmad.

*Mehbooba Mufti Extends Janmashtami Greetings*

Srinagar, September 4, 2026:
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President and former Chief Minister, Ms. Mehbooba Mufti, has extended her warm and heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami.

In her message, Ms. Mufti said that Janmashtami reminds us of the timeless values of truth, compassion, righteousness, love and humanity. She expressed hope that the sacred occasion would strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, mutual respect and harmony among all communities.

“May the divine blessings of Lord Krishna bring peace, happiness and prosperity to every household and inspire us to uphold the values of compassion, tolerance and togetherness,” she said.

Ms. Mufti prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and wished that the festival would bring renewed hope and happiness to all.

Mehbooba Mufti sahiba Met protesting medical students our future doctors who have been pushed onto the streets to demand a rightful stipend of up to RS - 30,000.

It was deeply painful to see those who work exhausting 36-hour shifts, including nights, caring for patients and saving lives, forced to protest for a basic right.

These young doctors are the backbone of our healthcare system. Their dedication cannot be met with neglect. A government that expects them to serve with sacrifice must also respect their dignity.

Appeal to the Chief Minister to meet students at earliest and resolve this issue within a week.
