*JKTJAC Chairman Welcomes Nomination of Senior Principals to District Level Departmental Promotion Committees.*

Saleem Sagar, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee, has welcomed the recent order issued by the Director School Education Kashmir on the constitution of District Level Departmental Promotion Committees.
He expressed gratitude to the Director School Education Kashmir for authorising Chief Education Officers to nominate senior most Principals from every district as representatives of the Directorate in these committees.
Saleem Sagar stated that the decision will improve transparency and administrative balance in the promotion process. He said senior Principals bring strong ground level experience and clear understanding of institutional functioning. Their presence will help ensure fair and timely promotions.
He added that teachers across the Union Territory had been demanding proper representation in promotion committees for a long time. The new arrangement responds to this demand in a practical and effective manner.
The Chairman expressed hope that District Level Departmental Promotion Committees will now function smoothly and efficiently. He urged the authorities to hold DPC meetings without delay so that long pending promotion cases of teachers and officers are resolved at the earliest.
