BJP–NC ‘Fixed Match’? Today’s Protests Are Nothing More Than Political Drama: to mislead J & K people
Srinagar, 02 September 2026:
Lucky Ali, National Office Incharge & State General Secretary (Organisation), Jammu & Kashmir, National Loktantrik Party (NLP), today launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and National Conference (NC), describing their protests and political confrontations as “nothing more than political drama designed to mislead and distract the people of Jammu & Kashmir.”
Lucky Ali questioned the credibility of the political battles being projected before the public, stating that despite their aggressive public statements and accusations against each other, the conduct of both parties frequently creates an impression of a “fixed match” in which political confrontation is used more for publicity than for resolving the genuine problems of the people.
«“The people of Jammu & Kashmir are not politically naïve. They have witnessed enough political theatrics to understand the difference between genuine opposition and carefully choreographed political drama. If BJP and NC are truly serious about the people, they should stop performing for cameras and start answering the questions of the public.”»
He said that Jammu & Kashmir continues to face serious challenges, including unemployment, rising prices, inadequate employment opportunities for youth, development-related concerns, shortcomings in education and healthcare, and unresolved public grievances. Yet, instead of presenting concrete solutions, political parties continue to compete over symbolic protests and media headlines.
Lucky Ali alleged that today’s demonstrations appear to be an attempt to divert public attention from the real issues confronting ordinary citizens. He said that people need jobs, investment, better infrastructure, quality education, accessible healthcare and accountable governance—not political spectacles.
He further warned political parties against treating the people of Jammu & Kashmir as merely an audience for election-oriented or publicity-driven politics.
«“Enough is enough. The people want performance, not propaganda; accountability, not accusations; development, not demonstrations staged merely for political mileage. If BJP and NC genuinely care about Jammu & Kashmir, let them come before the people with a clear roadmap and measurable commitments.”»
Lucky Ali said that the National Loktantrik Party (NLP) will continue to raise issues affecting the common people and will hold those in power accountable through democratic and constitutional means.
He reiterated that the NLP stands firmly committed to peace, justice, development, employment, good governance and inclusive progress across Jammu & Kashmir.
