Senior officers in J&K admin, police helping BJP violate people's mandate: Mehbooba
Mehbooba's tweets came after the NC also accused the BJP and Apni Party of "undermining" democracy by "resorting to illicit means" to capture power in the DDC polls

=>PDP president Mehbooba M***i alleged on Tuesday that senior officers in the administration and police are helping the BJP in violating the people’s mandate in the elections to the posts of chairpersons of the district development councils (DDCs).

“So much for Vajpayee ji’s vision of insaniyat, Kashmiriyat & jamhuriyat. Not surprised at all by recent DDC Chairmanship results. Two months were given to buy & intimidate the DDC members,” M***i wrote on Twitter, referring to a slogan coined by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had “already murdered” ‘insaniyat’ (humanity) and ‘Kashmiriyat by scrapping Article 370 of the Constitution in August 2019 and now, by “manipulating the DDC election results”, it has put “the final nail in the coffin” of democracy.

“Disgusting that senior officers in admin & police have taken it upon themselves to violate the mandate of people. By scrapping Article 370, BJP had already murdered insaniyat & Kashmiriyat. Now by manipulating DDC results, they’ve put the final nail in the coffin of Jamhuriyat,” she said in another tweet.

Mehbooba’s tweets came after the National Conference (NC) also accused the BJP and the Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, led by former finance minister Altaf Bukhari, of “undermining” democracy by “resorting to illicit means” to capture power in the DDC polls.

UN failed to give rights to to decide their : Imran Khan

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the United Nations and the international community have failed to provide “the promised right to the people of Kashmir to determine their own future” on Friday.
Invoking the 1948 resolution, Khan said that “Kashmiris were promised [that] they would get the right to decide their own future as per UN Security Council resolutions”.
Khan was addressing a public gathering in Kotli district of Pakistan-administered-Kashmir on “Kash­mir Solidarity Day” when he further said: “When the residents of Indian-occupied Kashmir as well as Azad Kashmir get the right to decide their future, and when the people of Kashmir will choose Pakistan InshAllah, then Pakistan will give Kashmiris the right to decide whether they want to become a part of Pakistan or remain independent.”
“Not just all of Pakistan, but the Muslim world is standing with you,” he said.
“If Muslim governments, for any reason, are not supporting you today, I can assure you the entire population of the Muslim world is standing with the people of occupied Kashmir,” he said, adding that even non-Muslims who favoured justice believed that “Kashmiris should be given their promised right”.
“I as a father want to say to you that we all know what you go through, the kind of pain you face, the kind of tyrant you are confronting,” Khan said, addressing parents in Kashmir. “Whatever strength I have, I will raise your voice at every forum. I have been doing it and will keep raising it. […] Rest assured that I will be the ambassador of Kashmir and will raise my voice for you everywhere until Kashmir gains independence.”

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq listed among world’s 10 influential Muslim politicians by RISSC Jordan
RISCC lists Mirwaiz among influential Muslim politicians for 7th year in a row, makes specific mention of Mirwaiz's arrest

=>Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has for the seventh consecutive time been chosen among 500 most influential Muslim personalities across the globe by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre, Jordan.

According to details available with the news agency KNS, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been listed among the world's 10 influential Muslim politicians for the seventh consecutive year by RISSC, Jordon.

Pertinently, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq continues to be under the house arrest for more than 18 months.

Commenting upon the Mirwaiz, RISSC Jordan said that "He has been advocating dialogue with both India and Pakistan so that the aspirations of the Kashmiri people may be realised."

Specifically mentioning Mirwaiz's arrest, it stated that he has been under house arrest since August 2019.

The Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre is an independent research entity affiliated with the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic thought, an international Islamic non-governmental, independent institute headquartered in Amman, the capital of Jordan.

Topping the list, personalities include King Salman of Saudi Arabia, Ayatollah Khamnai of Iran, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and King Abdullah of Jordan. (KNS)

Article 370 was a special guardian for J&K'

Accusing BJP headed union government of throwing the constitution of India in air, PDP President Mehbooba M***i on Sunday said that Article 370 was a guardian for the entire Jammu and Kashmir and not only for people of any particular race.

She issued statements on the sidelines of her 3-day visit to Pir Panjal region. Pertinent to mention here that M***i reached Poonch’s Mendhar on Saturday evening where she visited the house of Former Minister Sardar Rafiq Khan and condoled her demise.

Talking with a media person on the side-lines of her visit, Mehbooba M***i said that the BJP headed union government is playing with the constitution of India and is throwing norms in the air.

“They made norms of agriculture for farmers without consulting them and the situation amid farmer protest row is in front of all of us now.” She said adding that a drama enacted on Republic Day in Delhi is also in front of the entire nation.

“Article 370 was a guardian of the entire Jammu and Kashmir and not of any political party alone.” Mehbooba M***i further said adding that removal of special status has put people of Jammu and Kashmir in a tight spot where even over lands are

On Sunday late evening, M***i is scheduled to reach Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah Shrine in Shahdra Sharif Rajouri and to hold a workers convention in Rajouri on Monday.
