🌱 Single Day Plantation Drive 🌱
Today, RAF 2nd Bn. and 2nd IRBn., Siliguri, jointly organized a Tree Plantation Programme under the banner of “Single Day Programme on Plantation Drive” at the Battalion premises.

All available officers and force actively participated in the plantation drive, contributing towards a greener and healthier environment.

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic spirit at RAF 2nd Battalion and 2nd IRBn, siliguri.
The National Flag was hoisted by Shri Samir Ahmad, IPS, CO RAF 2nd Bn., followed by an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of Independence Day, national unity, and the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.

The Monthly Darbar Parade and Welfare Board Meeting was held today at the Battalion Headquarters. During the meeting, various issues related to the welfare and well-being of police personnel were discussed.
After that, a farewell programme was also organized to honour ASI (AB)- 83 Dipak Kumar Gupta, who is superannuating this month after an illustrious 37 years of dedicated service.

Today, Shri Samir Ahmad,IPS, takes over the charge as the new Commandant of RAF 2nd Battalion, Siliguri.
He was welcomed with a Guard of Honour on his arrival. After taking charge, he visited the various sections of the unit and interacted with the personnel.

The Monthly Darbar Parade and Welfare Board Meeting of RAF 2nd Battalion and 2nd IR Battalion were held today at the Battalion Headquarters.

Following the meeting, a heartfelt farewell programme was organized in honour of Smt. Eden Lamu Bhutia, WBPS, Assistant Commandant of 2nd IR Battalion, on the occasion of her superannuation after 38 years of dedicated and exemplary service to the Police Department.

The ceremony was filled with gratitude, warm memories, and heartfelt appreciation for her unwavering commitment, professionalism, and invaluable contributions throughout her distinguished career.
We extend our sincere best wishes to her for a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retired life.

🧘‍♂️ **12th International Yoga Day 2026**

The 12th International Yoga Day was observed today at RAF 2nd Battalion & 2nd IRBn.

A total of 213 personnel, including ministerial staff, took part in the yoga session. The program highlighted the benefits of yoga for staying healthy, reducing stress, improving concentration, and maintaining overall well-being.
The event encouraged everyone to make yoga a part of their daily life for better physical and mental health.
