14,362 livelihood friends will get Arunodaya and Soni's money, cabinet approval ...

Earlier, 4,176 livelihood friends of Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission got the opportunity of Arunodaya and Soni. In the cabinet meeting held today under the municipality of Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma decided to cover 10,186 new livelihood friends as beneficiaries of Arunodaya and Soni. I think this decision will certainly be able to put the smile of achievement in the mouth of living companions.

For this decision, I express my heartfelt thanks to the Honorable Chief Minister along with the fellow ministers.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) – Transforming Lives Through Skill Development
DDU-GKY continues to empower rural youth with the skills needed for sustainable careers. A.S. Bahar Uddin Laskar from Nutan Ramnagar Pt. V, Sonai Dev. Block, Cachar, Assam, is a shining example of this transformation.

Through DDU-GKY’s Domestic Data entry Operator (SSC/Q2212) trade under Empower Pragati Guwahati Skill Center, he gained industry-relevant skills and secured a job at TTEC India Customer Solutions Pvt. Ltd. with a starting salary of ₹23,100 per month. With continuous learning and dedication for the past few years, he advanced to the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME), handling a team of 8 employees and now earning ₹40,000 per month, all while working from home.

With financial stability, he is now constructing a house for his family and inspiring others in his community to pursue skill-based training. DDU-GKY is not just about jobs—it’s about building brighter futures.
