Sir,
We are shocked to note that the tariffs of the prepaid as well as postpaid mobile and data services have been steeply hiked recently by the private telecom companies. Today the mobile with data has become so essential that many of us are compelled to starve and save money to pay for the mobile recharge. We are further shocked to note that TRAI which is supposed to provide a fair and transparent policy environment has remained as a mute spectator and allowed the private players to hike, as they wish, the tariffs of internet packs, recharge rates and data costs.
We urge you to exercise your authority and immediately intervene into the affairs and compel the private telecom players to completely withdraw the unreasonable hike in tariffs in the interest of the consumers. We also urge you to emphasis to the Central government to take immediate steps to rejuvenate BSNL and provide communication services at a fair and affordable price for the toiling people..
